Really enjoyed my experience here. Popped in on a whim after visiting a restaurant down the block. (A custom local jeweler always catches my eye and I have a soft spot for gemstones and evelasting-silver). It wasn't a spot just for the hob knobs- like many jewelers I've visited- and i immediately felt welcomed. Robert had detailed information on each and every piece I showed interest in and an offer to customize anything I'd like altered, at a really fair price. The vibe of the staff (Robert and a newer employee) really made me want to stay and I loved how it felt alot like talking with friends (really knowledgeable silver loving friends 😜). I left with a gorgeous Samuel B piece- a ring with abalone shell and intricate silver detailing- that I'm in L.O.V.E with, whose price felt right, feels SO "me" and a bunch of new information on how to better care for my silver to maximize its longevity and ensure its with me for life (hopefully for generations). This shop is different than so many I've visited, all across the country, and I mean "different" in the best possible way. I'd easily visit again and recommend that if you're looking for this sort of shop in the area, that you won't hesitate to visit Robert either. It's worth it. Robert, Ellie and Sebastian at Wood Jewelers in Marquette are the best! Customer service was 100% friendly and attentive. I was looking for a replacement ring for a lost ring. Robert was quick to give me an appraisal from a picture of my lost ring and original receipt. I went to a couple of the other local jewelry stores trying to get help for an appraisal and was refused service without the actual ring. I guess they didn’t listen when I said it was lost. Can’t and will not recommend those shops to anyone who asks me for a good jeweler. Thank goodness I found Wood Jewelry. Because of Robert, I was able to recover 100% of the original cost plus the current market price from my personal property insurance claim. Naturally I purchased my new ring from Wood Jeweler. First impression of Wood Jewelers was satisfying. I went in looking for a set of sun earring, preferably gold/bronze. I was greeting almost immediately and asked what I was shopping for. I originally went in to only look. I told them I was looking for the sun and the lady, Heather, showed me some that resembled a star (pointy). I reiterated that I was specifically looking for a sun even tho it’s a star; I was looking for a star with a face. Heather kindly searched through inventory or ones she could special order. After only 15 mins I found a set I rly liked. It was only $50 something for a set of sun earrings. I was convinced I’d buy them that day bc I’d most likely not swing by often. Once ordered I was told it might take a bit longer due to it being around Easter. It arrived a week after Easter and was called. P.S.
