I took my family (5 of us) to this Cold Stone Creamery this evening. When we walked in, one young lady was serving 2 people. 5 minutes in, she was still serving them (they had a pretty large order).
The entire time we’d waited, there were two young ladies watching each other clean a small fridge behind the counter. At first I thought, maybe one is in training, so they both need to focus on that task. But as we waited an additional few minutes with no service, I politely said “excuse me, can one of you help us?” They turned around and said “one second”. I said thanks.
An additional 5-7 minutes later - same scenario. The same young lady was serving the same two people with their large order, and the 5 of us waited, while the two cleaning girls finished cleaning and then went to the back of the store.
I waited an additional 5 minutes and said to the busy young lady “are either of the two young ladies coming out to help us? There’s a line of 5 people here, why make us wait while they’re watching each other clean?” She said she’d try to be with me in a moment.
Once she finished with the people she was helping, she was almost ready to help my family. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to. She said there’s no manager, just a shift lead. I asked if I could speak to them. She said the shift lead was one of the two young ladies watching each other clean. I asked the nice young lady to please take the ice cream orders of my family, and have the shift lead come out so I could speak to her.
She went to the back, and told me that the shift lead - Mackenzie - said she would not come out to speak to me.
20 minutes we waited - a family of 5, just trying to get some ice cream to celebrate my niece’s birthday. I was never rude, just wanted to get some service on a school night and get the kids home to bed. The young lady at the front was nice, and she was really trying, but the other two young ladies were rude, and dismissive. I walked out, and will never return. I would rather spend my money where it will be earned.
I came home to write this review, and saw that just 2 weeks ago, someone wrote a review about the same thing: one person helping everyone in the front, while two people were in the back vaping and playing on their phones. I...
Read moreI ordered from them last Thursday, so 6 days ago. The order was placed through DoorDash. I paid over $26 for what is basically a half gallon if ice cream, I think they call it the "Everybody's" and I order German Chocolate Cake. Ingredients are supposed to be "chocolate ice cream, walnuts, caramel, coconut and brownies." I had my brother all psyched because he loves German Chocolate Cake and had never had this ice cream before.
So I ordered via DoorDash, despite knowing it would be absurdly priced. But that was okay because I couldn't leave the house and wanted the ice cream.
The order arrived and it was NOT German Chocolate Cake, it was some other chocolate creation with chooclate ice cream , brownies and tiny chocolate chips. NOT what I ordered. So I wrote an email. And filed a complaint with DoorDash. DoorDash responded with a credit of less than half what it cost. But Cold Stone? Not a peep.
That is why I have waited 6 days, to see if they responded. Not a peep. I won't be going back. It is up to them to make sure a DoorDash driver leaves with the right item. I don't want a DoorDash driver having to handle my ice cream. They dropped the ball and seriously disappointed me. And didn't even have the decency to reply to my...
Read moreI put in an online order for when I should be arriving. We arrived 2 minutes later than that and the employee hadn't even started making my order for 4 Like Its. There was also another customer sitting at a table waiting to have his order taken. The employee said hi to me, I told him I had a mobile order, and he asked for the name. Then, he disappeared to the back for a minute or 2 and then asked the guy at the table for his order. I would have been fine with this had he asked, since I ordered 4 and he only wanted 1, but the other customer asked if he should be making my order. The employee said, "No, she has a mobile order." and continued to do the other customer's order. I left with my order no less than 10 minutes after the order time I had on my mobile order. I had also been hoping to sit outside with my dog and kids because I had noticed the table and chairs out recently, but there were no chairs to be seen today, there was one table in the bushes, and one by the door. I thought the point of doing a mobile order was to give ample time to complete the order at the time wanted so the store could be prepared. Also, the mixing of toppings into the ice creams were not well done. We were disappointed in...
