The management at this location is horrible. We came to watch a sporting event because the location had advertisements online inviting customers to view the sporting event here. Upon arrival there was a line of patrons at the door who came to view the sporting event. There was a security guard who addressed us when we approached the door and told us that they were filled to capacity (the bar is visible from the door and there were multiple empty seats at the bar so the location did not appear to be as crowded as we were being told). Immediately after the security guard advised us that they were at capacity there was a group of people who walked out, so I asked if they would be allowing more customers in as other guests left. The security guard advised me that the decision could only be made by the manager. I asked if I could speak to the manager because I thought the manager would be willing to consider my request.
After waiting at the door in the rain and after the security guard called for the manager multiple times, the manager finally came to the door. As I began speaking the manager he was visibly frustrated and did not seem willing to consider my reasonable request for him to allow the customers who were standing at the door in the rain to come inside as other customers left. Despite him giving me an unsatisfactory response I still thanked him for taking the time to speak with me to which he walked away with no response in a very unprofessional manor.
It was horrible that he would rather let customers stand in the rain than to attempt to find a way to accommodate the customers who came to patronize their business for an event that they advertised. Despite my attempts to be very kind and polite towards the manager, he was very short and treated me and my guest as if he did not want to be bothered. The manager showed all the customers at the door zero-star customer service and showed no appreciation that the customers came here to view the sporting event.
The location was obviously unprepared for the event that they promoted. It seemed like the manager was simply overwhelmed by the evening and did not want to deal with anymore customers, rather than the excuse we were given about the location being at capacity. We were given no apologies or any acknowledgement for the inconvenience.
Horrible experience and I do not recommend anyone to visit this location for big sporting events, as you will be turned away with no rational explanation the moment management gets tired of dealing with...
Read moreI'm a regular customer at this location and usually come here at least once a week if not more. For folks who haven't come here before, there are some things to keep in mind.
Pros: The Food is Good - it's not a 5-star restaurant, but the food is good compared to other bar/grills. The fried mozzarella is one of the best I've had at any restaurant. If you originally came here just for the games, try the food too because I think you'll like it. Decent Game Selection - definitely not the cutting edge of games in the industry, but they're relatively up to date and most games are in working order. They don't let broken games sit around, they fix them and make them work again. I also see regular maintenance being done on games pretty consistently.
Cons: Service - it's not all bad, but definitely hit or miss. Most of the employees there seem miserable. There are a few standout exceptions - one of the managers, Chris, is awesome. There's also a couple women who work up at the front desk and game desk who are really nice. Chaotic - I don't dislike kids, but the amount of unsupervised kids running around the game area is ridiculous. I'm talking about little kids - 4-7 year old's with no parents in sight. They run in front of you, bump into you, ask random adults for free card swipes, no social etiquette at all. Smell - hope you like weed. I know it's legal but man, if you're not someone who partakes, the smell can be overwhelming. Price - D&B recently raised the prices on their menu across the board to the point that they're pretty much more expensive than just about any other bar/grill restaurant in the area for similar items. Game prices have also gone up to the point where it's literally cheaper for me to drive to NJ and play arcades there than it is to go to D&B here. Not only did they raise the cost of chips, they then followed it up with a 25% increase in the chips used per game. Half price Wednesday games cost about what games were on a normal day a few years ago. The quality of the prizes is the same - or worse - cheap Temu stuff basically.
That all being said, they seem fairly busy most days (especially half-price game Wednesdays). I'll likely be drawing down the number of visits in the future because I can't justify the expense. If they bring back the half price food menu, I'd probably...
Read moreWant to take your family out for a fun time FIND ANOTHER PLACE. we arrived at 8 waited in a super unorthodox and unorganized line to buy game play cards. Next we had to ask three different employees how do we get a table finally we are told for some unknown reason we have to find the manager and he will get us a table all for us to finally get a table . Everything goes smoothly with the introduction and getting drinks , we place our order and then don't get any food for an hour and ten minutes and it was just my son's room temperature wings and fries wich is his FAVORITE FOOD . Another 15 minutes then we the rest of our food sort of I ordered chicken Parm and it was some sort of salmon dish I was given . Finally after another ten minutes I'm given my food . Every meal at the table was cold and looked like it was Cooked with the heat lamp instead of the stove. Food wasn't good, maybe because we were starving everyone barely picked at it now at this point I'm upset after seeing the disappointed looks on my family but I paid my bill and tipped a very normal amount and found the manager who happens to be right next to the table and tell him how bad the food wait and service was and he just walked away he didn't say anything have any remorse or even ask what was wrong he simply walked away from me. I spent $83.41 on food left a 12 dollar tip and another $152 on game cards to have a manager walk away without a single word literally all he said was the phrase "I am " when I asked if he was the manager . I am fully aware Dave and Busters will be fine without me and honestly when we go to the one in Arundel Mills we have a blast but this one made me feel like they could care less about what was going on . Dave and or Buster if anyone in the company listens or cares about what is going on at the White Marsh location you should seriously consider an overhaul of operations . To be completely fair I am posting pics so anyone can see exactly what you get for your money at Dave and Busters . We left over $200 spent and still hungry and in disbelief in how we were treated...
