I love Millers. Loved Millers I should say. My husband and I went for dinner and were seated by the kitchen, which was fine. The part that wasn't fine was what I saw from my table. I observed the frontline cooking staff eating food while they were preparing other people's food and later on one of the cooks was on his cell phone holding his cell phone WHILE he had his food safety gloves on as he was making food in the kitchen. Cross contamination anyone? I couldn't finish eating my dinner because I was so grossed out. I asked to speak with the manager after (who I had never seen before who came out in a chef's uniform and with no manager name tag) and I told her what I had saw and if that was normal and she said awkwardly smiled and that it's probably not normal and once things slow down for them because they were really busy, she's going to talk to him about it later on and she apologized that I had to see that and then just left. I hate that I had to see it too but honestly I'm kind of grateful because I won't be coming back for a while. It was also questionable to me that she was going to wait until later on in the evening to address and let him continue in the kitchen handling food like that. I know that kitchens and restaurants get a bad rep with stories about what "really goes on" in the kitchen when you're not looking. I wish I never saw, but knowing what I know now and that this is what goes on in the kitchen? I'm good for a while on Millers. I'm also concerned and confused that she said she would address it later rather than sooner. This just solidified to me that it's not an immediate problem for them. Which is weird because I'm pretty sure this falls into the cross contamination/food safety handling aspect? But apparently, that's okay I guess. I would have assumed that they would have pulled him from the cook line for a moment to address is and rectify the situation ASAP for the other patrons food prep today and going forward. We are regulars and we come to Miller's at least 4 or 5 times a month. No longer for the time being. Truly disappointed in Millers response to this. We won't be visiting for a...
Read moreI’ve been going here for a few months because it was near & I thought it had good food & prices. However the service & food has gotten noticeably worse lately. I usually go around 7-8pm week nights & last few times the servers (different ones) have basically forgotten we’ve existed. I’ve had to stand or wave my hand or even call over different servers. The food has also slid downhill.
I went this past Tuesday, restaurant barely had anyone in it at 8pm aside for a few sitting in the bar area & two other families in booths. We sat, it took 5 minutes for our server to even show up to take our drink order, we waited so long we knew everything we wanted. We got the rib special for $15 & a burger.
Food comes 30 minutes later! My ribs have literally no sauce on them. Waiter drops off food & disappears. I’m having to go to a different waiter for bbq sauce & water refill. We finish eating, I see our waiter has gotten a second table & is helping make drinks behind bar. I’m REPEATEDLY trying to get his attention! He goes to the other table 4-5 times his back to us in a few minutes. But we only saw him 3 times in 1.5 hours! By 9:00 I’m trying to leave, waiter is no where to be found… we sat for 20 minutes NO WAITERS TO BE FOUND! I went to the bar & see him from the back or house nod at me! Finally brings the bill & I pay but oh wait, they forgot (twice in 2 weeks) that the ribs are on sale on Tuesdays! So I overpaid…
Then later I’m afraid I lost my debit card, call Millers Ale house repeatedly to look for it… no one answers… for an hour no answer. I know there’s a phone there? The delivery service answers the phone & is surprised no managers or hosts can answer the phone at noon on a weekday!
I see the owner responding to comments; recommendation have a couple friends & go to your restaurant on a few boring nights without you & see how atrocious the service is. I don’t think I’m ever...
Read moreMy 1st time at this Location and I must say it redeemed its Name! because the Annapolis location wasn't good at all. I met one of my Newest Fb friends here to meet & for Lunch!, the place was spacious , neat, the bathroom wasn't far! & I could read the sign!!. Our waitress was Jessica! (Ask for her!) she was nice, checked on our table frequently and she made me the most bomb cherry Coke from the bar!!. I ordered the Honey Bourbon Salmon with vegetable medley and cilantro rice! But you can swap whatever sides you like or premium for 1.99. My Friend got the Mimi's Fiesta Chicken & Shrimp bowl with creamy red chile sauce(soooo bomb). while the salmon & shrimp were flavorful Chef Analysis Alert!! .The honey bourbon sauce should've been a Thick glaze put on top instead of runny sauce so you can get the taste of everything in one bite with the sauce! instead of having to use a spoon & tip your plate just to get the sauce in your spoon to go with the salmon & shrimp you see it's just a thin puddle pour on the plate (although you can taste the bourbon that's all I'd change!) . Or serve it without that sauce and pair it with the red chile sauce (thick) it goes Very well too!! (I got some for my food ). The Zingers need salt & pepper on them once out of the fryer otherwise mentioned everything was seasoned well and really good!!.They have Lunch Specials starting at 7.99-10.00 time frame of 11:00am-4:00pm & daily specials Mon-Friday. This is a great place to watch the games as it's TVs everywhere and patio outside!, great for a simple chill date night or girls night out!. This location is also spacious and accommodating for wheelchair users all the way around, I'm definitely bringing my aunt!!. I'd return to try more especially the Nachos!! . I'm so glad I gave this spot another chance but different location!! Definitely recommend the Honey Bourbon Salmon it's...
