Pure Green - Juice Bar Columbia — Restaurant in Maryland

Used to love this place, but after the latest experience, it's time to move on. Three strikes and I’m out.

First strike: an employee with long, fluffy hair was making my bowl without a hairnet—felt like an accident waiting to happen, but I let it slide. Second strike: I paid cash, and the employee handed me change, then continued making my food with the same gloves used to handle money (they often handle cash and immediately prepare food, touching fruits like bananas and berries without changing gloves). Final strike: I ordered a pure green bowl, only to find bits of the purple plastic acai package mixed in.

The biggest issue seems to be employee turnover. Each incident involved a different employee, and the staff turnover every couple of weeks. This constant churn shows up in quality, food safety, and hygiene. (Just watch: they’ll touch the cash register, then go straight to preparing food. Stopped by for some healthy indulgence this morning and Pure Green delivered! We ordered Skinny Coco smoothies, 2 different toasts, and the protein power oatmeal. Everything was made fresh and the smoothie was great. But the food - that was the star. The bread for the toasts was thick, grainy, and toasted to perfection. The toppings were generous and great combos. We both ordered toasts with nut spreads and bananas. Delish. And the oatmeal was outstanding! Steel cut and a great texture. I love this place! Always very clean and pleasant to visit. The decor is so aesthetically pleasing, giving off very peaceful vibes and the smoothies are so refreshing, the tropical breeze is my favorite it’s the perfect pick me up! My daughter has a dairy allergy and I’m pretty sure she could have everything if not almost everything on the menu. I so appreciate the variety of vegan options. The avocado toast is delicious. I can see they really care about quality and quality assurance as they are always consistently good. Lastly Daye goes above and beyond for her customers, I’m so grateful to have this place here...
