This is a sad review to write, bcz Qdoba had always been my favorite over Chipotle, or ANY of its competitors. Since this Columbia location is the closest to where I live, it's the one I have frequented most and not only has the quality of their food gone downhill drastically, their level of service....while NEVER exemplary as I've experienced at other locations.... is downright atrocious at this particular location, and they have the audacity to be rudely indignant about this. I guess a lot of places really do just hire anybody these days huh?
I literally caught, questioned, and called out their practice of attempting to fraud me -a Qdoba customer-via upcharging for things that clearly contradict their very own business practices, that have NEVER been an extra charge b4, but they assume you won't notice.
Their counter, was....for the manager to step to the front, rudely addressing my concerns w/a foul and funky attitude, condescension, aggressive tones, and a flat out argument he attempted to turn into a shouting match....WITH ME... a customer mind you.... while in line, waiting to ring up next to other customers who witnessed this. I was floored, as someone who's been a very loyal Qdoba customer SINCE INCEPTION, bk when Qdoba first opened it's doors in Colorado, throughout the west coast, and naturally within the contiguous us. NEVER have I seen a more blatantly nasty and rude Food Service "Professional"(NOT) let alone member of mgmnt or franchise owner as he claimed himself to be, unless of course they were a flat-out racist or bigot....as I've unfortunately observed and experienced a great many Hispanic service professionals who are blatantly prejudiced bigots , and racist! Maybe that was this guys problem...it wld certainly explain things....but definitely not excuse them either way.
I actually told him I would be writing this and communicating this up the pipeline to corporate.. his exact words were.... "I don't care....do what you want.... do you need a bag.. just wanted to point out that there's an extra charge for bags.... just wanted to make sure you could pay it....." This....said by....THE BOSS? OWNER? MGR etc.... all while trying to yell and speak over me, simultaneously laughing obnoxiously with the Hispanic male cashier about the entire exchange, after I told him repeatedly in a normal tone never increasing my own volume.. that I didn't need to talk to him at all... they could charge me whatever they wanted.. I would just simply talk to corporate about it in the morning.
While I realize times are hard as far as good staffing options, due to nationwide worker shortages.... but if you're gonna hire a staff of individuals to represent your brand.. shouldn't you want them to do it properly? That's not happening here at this Columbia location.. and unless they get rid of their entire team.. I will not be returning.....
Read moreAs a regular customer that has been going here for more than 10 years I was hesitant to write this review but today's experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered 1 bowl and 1 burrito, both chicken and when I got to the register to pay I was told $24 and some change for my order. 1 bowl and 1 burrito costed me $17 and change all other times but I asked the lady why it was that much this time and she tells me that I asked for extra chicken which I never did. I never ever order extra meat because it's just not worth it for $3 more. The lady who took my order probably misheard me because the person in front of me and in front of him asked for more meat so maybe she thought I asked for it too but I never mentioned the word extra and more. But that wasn't the biggest issue, the biggest issue was that in Spanish I can hear her telling the lady at register that I said extra when I never even mentioned that word. I told her I was willing to wait for them to remake my food because I didn't wanna look like someone who's trying to pull a fast one but the fact that the lady at register slid me the food across the counter without a word just looking at me like" just get out with the food" kinda look left me with a bad taste in my mouth. As a minority my self, it's never a good idea to speak in your native language to your coworker when there is an issue with a customer in front of you thinking that they won't...
Read moreI have been coming here for years, friends with the store manager. Unfortunately I have noticed a huge shift in customer service. The people here are rude, belittling, makes faces and all around should not be in customer service! I asked if the manager was available and was told he's no longer at this location. They need to bring a manager on-site immediately! Last week my husband and I noticed the guy in front of him received generous scoops and when it was his turn he was shorted on his, which results in him having to get double scoop and pay extra. It’s clear after seeing the staff communicate and laugh to one another. They get mad when you order a side of anything even if you're paying for it but if you don't, they'll get your order wrong and you won't have anything at all! I ordered a shell bowl today just for the girl to break the entire shell because she pressed both hands on top of the lid to push it down like it’s CPR. When I asked her to be careful she’s breaking the shell she looked at me with an attitude so I asked the cashier to help her close the lid gently but instead she just shrugged. I'm truly disgusted with this staff they shouldn't be left unsupervised!
Update** I’m home now and I didn't ask for extra tomatoes and now I realized after telling the girl twice, she still put 0 tomatoes so now all I have is rice beans fajitas and corn...pictures for proof! Get a manager in...
