Come to The Crab 99 in Hagerstown MD, for some delicious seafood boil🦀🤤 #seafood #seafoodboil #fypシ

We visited this place for the first time after seeing it from the highway. The atmosphere is very homely - neat, well lit, and plenty of seating for families (both booths and tables). The table is set with a construction paper for messy meals such as boils. I wasn't sure about the service at first. When first seated, no one came to our booth to get our drinks but a woman (manager perhaps) came by and asked if we had been served and when we replied "no," a waitress came to our table shortly afterwards and was very apologetic which improved the experience. She was very kind and took our orders and drinks since we were ready. Food: -Creamy crab soup - a watered down version of a classic cream of crab soup, lacked flavor and tasted more like milk and less like crab. -Catfish basket with onion rings - everything was fried wonderfully but the catfish was seasoned but was not flavorful as I've had before. The onion rings, however, were delicious! -Coleslaw - typical coleslaw. Nothing new. -Tilapia and fried shrimp basket - my fiancé wanted to try both and thankfully the restaurant allows combos (2 pieces of tilapia instead of 4 and 4 pieces of shrimp instead of 8) - fine tasting not memorable. Overall - it was a fine dining experience. The serving sizes are huge which makes for a great leftover meal!

So delicious! We recently discovered a seafood boil spot. It’s tricky to order, so ask the wait staff. Just dig in, enjoy, and laugh—especially at the gloves. Half the fun is the mess!

Caleb was an excellent customer service rep for The Crab 99..he was efficient professional friendly and polite. Caleb stated that my carry out order would be 15 to 20 minute wait. Honestly I didn’t wait long. The place is easy on the eyes and music is modern. Love it!! Service was impeccable and I hope Crab 🦀 99 stays here for quite sometime. My seafood boil was outstanding, I had the medium spice lemon 🍋 pepper garlic 🧄 butter 🧈 with 1/2 lb deheaded shrimp and crab legs with corn and potatoes. You know this solo lunch went down like it was suppose to. Amazing & Delicious!! The price is respectful for what you order. Come check this spot out for yourself. I’ll be back.

14OCT.2024 I was here a while ago and didn’t post. I stopped in today and the crab fries are NOT a fave of mine. The sauce is sweet and the cheese could’ve been melted more. I had to get a batch w/o the sauce and it was fine with the imitation crab 🦀 meat. I had the seafood boil w/lobster and it was tough to pull out of the shell the texture was ok(I’ve eaten fresh lobster in Freeport, Maine as soon it comes of the boat and prep in the kitchen, fresh)and I’ll stick with the crab legs in the boil from now on. The hush puppies are always delicious and pippin’ hot. Service is always great! Riliegh was awesome and...

I been coming here since they have been opening and I have dealt with the old corn being put in there I have dealt with the old boiled eggs being shorted and have the potatoes added on for extra weight but tonight the night I'm just over it. With being a repeated guest and eating crabs since I was 6 I know how much 1/2 pound of crab legs is I received one cluster and came back to inform them that I was missing a cluster and that was not 1/2 pound of crabs in my weekend meal. The lady took my bag to the back and I guess looked at it and came back and told me it was. I asked if they could weigh it out so I could see and they refused and informed me that the seafood looses it's weight when steamed and they would not weigh it because it's going to be lighter. Unless the crabs are frozen and stuck together it should loose that much weight. In other words they have bs reasons to rip you off.if you come here order your food seperatly and have them back it up seperatly. For me to give them so much business over the past year or so it's disappointing that they refused to make it right but instead just offer me my money back. There's other crabs places to go to nearby and another place in Chambersburg that similar and...
