McDonald's — Restaurant in Matthews

Worst McDonald’s that I’ve ever been to, on repeated occasions. Recently moved to the area, and live nearby the McDonald’s. Had a horrible experience, the first time, missing multiple items, and staff with poor attitudes. Thought I would give them a second chance a couple weeks later, and it was even worse. I ordered a basket of fries (the largest you can order) that contained the amount of fries equivalent to a small fry, if that, and I’m being generous. (I have the basket of fries all the time, so this is certainly not the amount that is typical). The fries were cold, soggy, and disgusting appearing. When I asked for the rest of my fries, and for them to be hot this time, she reached into my vehicle and took back the fries that were given to me, which is against the code of the health department. The manager appears to be lazy, trying to take Shortcuts, and careless, since you can’t take items that you give to customers back into the area where you’re preparing food, as this can contaminate the food being prepared for others. I didn’t want the soggy fries but imagine someone having the flu, touching the food and the bag, and then those same items going back into the food prep area to infect others. Finally, they put me in the penalty box (where they have you pull ahead), while I waited for them to do what they should’ve done the first time, make a hot basket of fries, but still didn’t get the no-salt memo. Won’t be going back, if it wasn’t obvious already. I guess this is the kick in the butt I needed to stop eating junk! If you want to be disgusted and start healthy eating, have someone roll their eyes at you, or deal with careless people, just drive through the Matthews...

I live in Matthews for the last 20 years. This McDonalds is less than 1mile from me. At least few times a week we buy food from them. There have been few owners since that time and management. Today again went and bought breakfast. No butter and food was stale. All these years every time my family and myself purchased food something is missing or wrong order. The butter was suppose to come with the hot cakes. The staff don’t care. They don’t check the order before they give to the customer. They are so rude. They don’t speak nor understand English. Basically we pay for the food they short the order and throw it at us. This is a ridiculous Mcdonalads. We go there because of the closeness to our home. I want to call corporate and complain about this place. The condiments that suppose to come with the order which we paid never put in with the order. They just throw a paper bag dripping with oil and wrong order. Just imagine if a customer goes and try to eat the food they paid the order is wrong or no butter or syrup for the order, luckily I came home. The management don’t care when you complain either. I hope someone see my review. This is the worst McDonald’s in the Chatlotte. The worst from food quality to customer service to wrong orders. The food was stale. I think they had these hot cakes cooked or left over from a an order like few hours ago. I hate this McDonalds. No point writing a review either. Because...

I went to this McDonald's with an order for 3 Double Quarter Pounder meals, a Big Mac meal, and 10pc McNugget meal. The locations dining room was being renovated, so I went to the drive thru. The quality of the fries I received were as if they had been fried up that morning, and the McNugget meal was missing entirely.

I attempted to call the store about the issue and was met with apathy and even was hung up on at one point. I was attempting to have the McNugget meal, and potentially the fries replaced. I went back to the store and was told the store was closing and to come back tomorrow.

I went back the next day, frustrated I had been dragged through the mud on this over a full day now, and tried to get the order I wanted replaced. The manager gave me the same apathy and declined anything beyond the one McNugget meal that was missing, and not even the fries, which were brought up and acknowledged, but were now left alone. I attempted to contact the regional manager about this, and almost a week later, has yet to call me back.

Do yourself a favor and go further down the street to the McDonald's on Sardis Rd N if you're going to go to McDonald's, this one has seen an immense drop in quality of not just the food, but the...
