Also shoutout to other friends I met throughout the night for making my experience here so incredible. Been looking for a Polynesian owned and operated family business to support and be in community with in Maui and I found it here at Haleakava. Easily one of my favorite experiences in Maui, and in my opinion some of the best Kava you'll find on the island (tried another spot in Paia and I'd put Haleakava above it forsure). Read moreThis is dope, yo! No wait, it's Kava😎! Must stop by. Wade, the bartender, is also a woodworker (the dude built the bar! And local artists created the ocean on the floor, and decked out the walls!!!). I needed something strong to calm my nervous system, and the Fiji half bowl did the trick. One sip and I knew I had a winner. It's a dry taste, but I like those kinds of things. If you need something sweeter, ask for a different recommendation. ✌️
