The doors to her shop is like entering into a giant trap of webs and she is the spider awaiting to attack the unexpected next victim and your wallet. I walked into her store one day because I saw a brochure about learning how to “solder” jewelry for $50 for a 1 hour class. Personally as a single mom I wanted to “do something for myself” to help my income a bit. So I went into her shop. I walked out with a class scheduled, a few sea glass beads, some wire( I never asked for) and a $116 bill. I’m must have been so stunned by the whole thing I just left feeling completely used. I was planning on confronting her the day of the class but all the students looked so hopeful I decided I was going to let it go and have a good educational experience. That’s when things just got worse. A class of 4 students working well and quickly with the hour we paid for intentionally turned into 6 students. Susu got her fangs into two very confused tourists on their last day. They even said that they were “confused and they just wanted to buy a shell necklace but is now in this class making a bracelet.” We all then understood Susu wanted to slow the class down so it pasts the paid hour. Fast forward 2 1/2 hours. I sat doing absolutely nothing waiting for my next step watching the one very sweet instructor struggle with the whole group and Susu herself. Long story short(er) Susu then charged all of the victims an extra $75 because the class ran wayyyyyy longer than it needed, on purpose. I feel like she is a con artist living in...
Read moreSo disappointed. I have been going here for a very long time. I live in Pukalani and traveled down to Kihei to my what I used to be my favorite little place. I had to get some more supplies I’ve always bought a box of seashells as the one below for $39.95. I have been buying them again for a long time from the owner there. There was two boxes left and she said oh it’s good you got them because it’s hard for me to find those anymore. I told her what I do with them and how I make $30 which each seashell that I sell. She was surprised and said all $30 and I said yes that’s how much I make on each seashell I could not believe it when she told me - “then I have to sell you for $30 each now. “ That’s each shell not for the box. I showed her the price that’s on the unopened box and question. How can she do that? She said I’m the owner I can do that . There’s five in a box. so disappointed in her, so , so disappointed. I am also a Uber driver and have given out her little flyers for people to make jewelry there never again am I going to that. It’s going to be quite the opposite now. How dare her charge me so much money because I told her how much I can make on them. I’m hoping she reads this review because if she tries to steal my idea it has been patent and I will sue her. So sad I have to give this kind of...
Read moreI recently visited Susie's, a crafty beading store, and had an experience that left me feeling quite perplexed. An older woman, whom I suspect might be the owner, was at the helm, but her behavior left me questioning why the business was open in the first place. One incident stood out, where she changed the price of an item three times for a customer who was waiting in line. To make matters worse, she even candidly informed the customer that she could change the price as she pleased, adopting an "I can do whatever I want" attitude. What was more astonishing was that she increased the price when she found out the customer wanted the item, rather than offering any form of customer service. This not only reflected poorly on the store's professionalism but also created a sense of unease among myself and three other patrons. Overall, the visit left me with a sense of bewilderment and uncertainty about returning...
