A Heavenly Encounter with Miss Arepas: A Culinary Blessing Step into Miss Arepas, and you'll find yourself transported to a realm where flavor, kindness, and spirituality dance harmoniously. Prepare to embark on a culinary journey that will awaken your taste buds and nourish your soul. From the moment you enter, the warm and inviting atmosphere embraces you like an old friend, setting the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. The staff, with their radiant smiles and genuine warmth, exude a kindness that is truly refreshing. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Miss Arepas takes traditional Venezuelan cuisine and elevates it to new heights, infusing each dish with a touch of magic. The arepas, those heavenly corn pockets filled with mouthwatering ingredients, are a revelation. With each bite, you can taste the passion and dedication that goes into crafting these edible works of art. Whether you choose the classic Reina Pepiada, bursting with tender chicken and creamy avocado, or the La Pelua, featuring tender beef and cheese, each arepa is a divine symphony of flavors. The balance of textures and the marriage of ingredients are a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. But Miss Arepas goes beyond satisfying your taste buds. It nourishes your spirit as well. The food is prepared with love, and you can feel the positive energy radiating from each dish. It's as if the chef has infused a dash of spirituality into every ingredient, reminding us that food is not just sustenance but a gateway to connection and joy. In a world where fast food often reigns, Miss Arepas is a sanctuary—a place where time slows down, and meals are meant to be savored and cherished. It's a reminder that good food is not just about the flavors but also the intention behind it. So, my fellow food lovers, if you seek an enchanting dining experience that nourishes both body and soul, look no further than Miss Arepas. Prepare to be captivated by their delightful cuisine, uplifted by their kindness, and transported to a realm where food and spirituality intertwine in perfect harmony.

I'm glad we finally checked this place out because it was great! It's small inside with a counter to sit at and a couple tables. Outside are a couple more. The woman working was really nice and patient as we indecisively stared at the menu. She's also the one that brings the food out to customers dining in. It seems like they do a lot of pick-up orders, too. We decided to try a carne asada arepa, a kalua pork bowl, and an order of Yuca fries. The arepa was good, but I preferred the bowl. (I eat a mainly vegetarian diet at home, so the steak may have just thrown me off!) The kalua pork was fantastic and the fries were perfectly crispy. You get to use two sauces that were very good, and we also used some extra chimichurri. While we didn't get a drink, they looked good and fresh.

When I heard that the FIRST Venezuelan restaurant was opening on Maui, I was very excited! I hadn’t had an arepa in over a year and I was super happy to learn that another Venezuelan was being successful abroad. I love their food but most importantly I love the way they treat people. Gaby & Wilson are not only driven but committed to provide a good experience for customers. My favorite menu items are the domino arepa, the cachapa, reina pepiada, la catira and tajadas (fried plantains). Aaaand the mint parchita (Lilikoi juice). I had the honor to photograph their food too but they don’t make justice to how flavorful they really are. Thank you Miss Arepa for providing a latin american culinary experience on Maui Island !

Miss Arepa: A Gluten-Free Gem You Won't Want to Miss!

If you find yourself on Maui, do yourself a favor and seek out Miss Arepa. This small, unassuming joint is a true culinary treasure, especially for those seeking delicious, 100% gluten-free options. It's clear why this place consistently earns rave reviews – it's genuinely, exceptionally yummy!

Miss Arepa operates as a fast-casual spot, meaning you get incredible food served up quickly, perfect for a satisfying and efficient meal. While it's a small establishment with some outside seating, you'll likely find it never feels overcrowded, allowing for a relaxed dining experience.

During a recent trip, Miss Arepa was so good that it warranted not one, but two visits! The food is simply that addictive. A standout side order was the yucca fries – described as divine, they are a must-try. For the main event, the Kahlua pork was a fantastic choice on one visit, followed by a mouthwatering chimichurri steak on the second. Both dishes left a lasting impression.

For anyone who values truly flavorful food and appreciates a dedicated gluten-free menu, Miss Arepa is an absolute must-visit. You'll likely find yourself, like many others, lamenting its absence once you've left Maui – it's the kind of place you'll...

Was excited by the hype, and wanted to love it. We are strict GF and always excited by more options on the island. We had the cashier help select her very favorite items from the menu, so we were anticipating greatness.

In reality, the ingredients tasted like generic bland Costco stuff. The "Mexicana" arepa was dripping wet and soggy before we could finish it, with an actual small pool of watery juice in the tray, lots of which dripped on my clothes. The $14 sandwich with the fried plantain "bun" was great at first bite, but the plantain quickly became rock hard and inedible, scratching the hell out of my mouth before I had to just give it up. The avocado was totally underripe and very hard. The garlic mayo sauce is great, and I'm sure there are other great items on the menu, but we sure didn't find them. I don't think we'll be back for another try.

I never generally need to write negative restaurant reviews, but these issues should have been immediately obvious to any caring cook/staff. I ate there the afternoon of 11/22/21, in case the management is curious who was...
