I drove 30 min to order a double espresso, only to be disappointed and treated by an Incredibly discourteous and rude barista! So far my worst ever retail, restaurant and hospitality ever experience in the US.
I arrived and was 4th in the wait line. I waited for 25 min to become only second. Then, the barista engages with a long chit-chat with a girl who ordered two coffees. Instead of proceeding to make the order, the barista takes his time to elaborate in an interview style conversation. I was near by, so I could not help but listen to how futile the conversation is to cover subjects like personal travel and hobbies.
Instead of being sensitive to how long I was waiting in line or proceeding to making the girl’s order, he prefers to engage in side futile talks with the ones in the register. I understand if you talk to someone for 1 or 2 minutes. But dragging the conversation to 12 or 15 min while I was myself waiting to place an order for over 25 min is such a lack of respect and consideration.
When I asked if he could take my order, he refuses and shakes his head saying that he is still talking to this girl/customer (same one for 15 min) and treats me with utmost insensitivity or understanding.
What conversation should last 15 min when you have a customer waiting to place an order??? This is a huge lack of respect to anyone’s time and business.
I don’t care what you are selling, but you treat me with disrespect, you are not worthy of respect nor of my business. I’d never ever step foot in this coffee shop and will not recommend it to anyone I care about. This barista didn’t only misrepresent the business (I don’t care if he owns it neither), but is a dirt stain on the...
Read moreJust Bad Coffee - Excited to try this shop near our vacation condo and swing in to grab coffee to go. Barista was very pleasant with 2 customers before me and both the Barista and customers were very chatty. I checked out Bags of Beans, Swag, Postcards as I patiently waited my turn. As the customer before me left a man walked in and went straight to the counter and began to chat with Barista. By this time I really needed to get back to my son at the resort and so I did step up to say “excuse me, I believe I am next and have been waiting to order”. The Barista was obviously not happy with my interrupting her conversation but he made a comment and turned and left (construction worker from next door). I placed my order and gave a 20% tip but this woman did not speak a word to me or smile. Bothe coffees tasted terrible. The Pumpkin Pie had excessive syrup in it making it taste like perfume and we could not even taste the coffee flavor. Caramel coffee was equally as bad.
What is odd is that both 20 ounce coffees were equivalent price to what I expect to pay at any local stand anywhere on Maui or in Seattle but they charge $42-$54 per lb. for a bag of beans. I heard the Barista tell the people infront of me that the price is because of it being 100% Kona but then why would the Togo drinks not be more expensive to reflect the price? We found 100% Kona at other shops for reasonable $16-$24 lb.
I really liked the graphic T-Shirts and logo concept but with the rude Barista vibe I opted to save my money and buy “souvenirs” from a different vendor.
If you want a cup of coffee this is not...

Wish I could give this place negative stars. We were looking for a local coffee shop; this place is called 'Bad ass coffee'. They had one specialty coffee on the menu and they didn't even have it hot. The guy said it was only on ice. We agreed to the ice-coffee and he proceeded to pour it from a pitcher that had been sitting on the counter for who-knows how long, so it was super watered down. My first sip was full of grinds you could see at the bottom of the clear cup. The guy behind the counter wasn't even polite. He just kept cleaning his coffee maker when we were ready to order. Then when we needed milk, "do you have milk?" "Yes" he says. Brief pause. "Oh would you like some?"... "ummm yes please". The rest of the menu is drip coffee and it wasn't even prepared fresh. If you like gross watered down coffee, or love drip coffee, you will love this place; otherwise avoid at all cost. If you like specialty coffee, try...
