After a few disappointing Maui restaurant experiences, I was very careful about where to spend our celebratory wedding anniversary meal. On the last night of our trip, we chose Pacific'o. With such fantastic reviews, we brought our family of four to this charming, romantic, and mind-blowing restaurant. Let me tell you, Pacific'o not only met our expectations, they far exceeded them. First, the location. Our table rested on the patio where string lights complimented the sunset that hung over the ocean horizon, which felt just steps away because it was. Book this place around 5pm as this was just one of the many highlights here, watching the sun set over the ocean as the string lights come on. As we arrived at our table, we were welcomed to a charming celebratory note card and offered complimentary champagne for adults and a spritzer for the kids. I often feel as though kids are forgotten at higher end restaurants, but Pacific'o did a wonderful job making my kids feel just as important as the adults. I just hope they don't get used to such wonderful service back home! The service. Attentive, informative, kind, and patient are just a few words for our server. From food and wine, siggestions to taking our family photo on the gorgeous photo spot, our server was truly incredible. Next, the food. Everyone loved their meal. I repeat, everyone (including the 7 and 9 year old) loved their food. To put in direct quotes from the 7 year old, "The Brussel spouts tasted like heaven." I don't know what magic they are doing here, but whatever it is, it's working! Everything is farm to table, which meant my mahi mahi was mouthwatering, the fresh homemade pasta from the kids' menu was addicting, and the lamb was tender and craveable. This meal was more than a meal. It was an incredible experience that fostered our often limited time together. Thank you Pacific'o for creating more than a fantastic meal for our family. You've created a...

This is the most exquisite dining experience I have EVERY had anywhere is in my travels EVER!!!! They called me twice before I was even on Island to ask about my allergies. Then again, twice to check exactly what you can eat and to tell me that the Chef is making me a special meal! I told her, (I learned later she was the hostess) that that was not necessary and I would eat what it could as usual. She would not have any of that. When I arrived, the outstanding hostess( I need her name and will get it when I go back) came to tell me the chef is making you a special appetizer! I told her, (I learned later she was the hostess) that that was not necessary and I would eat what I could as usual. She would not have any of that. When I arrived, the outstanding hostess( I need her name and will get it when I go back) came to tell me the chef is making you a special appetizer! Again, I told her that was not necessary. Then another wonderful young lady came over to check on me, who was the hostess who I had talked to on the phone. A little later, another awesome young man came to check on me and make sure the food was to my liking. I was so overwhelmed with all the attention. I was with the Manpower group of about 30 people. The dessert was delicious and I loved the fresh sorbet! So, then at the end, I asked the waitress to please thank the Chef for me and how grateful I was for the over and above treatment I received. She then said just a minute and she went a got him!!!! Lo and behold, he was the gentleman that had come to check on me earlier. He had on all black and not white, so I didn’t know he was the Chef!!!! I am in love with this restaurant and it is now my favorite Ever and on Maui and anywhere! We will be eating there again in May!! I am bringing friends and I have been telling everyone about my FANTASTIC experience!!! Thank you so very much! Every bite was so delicious and beautiful...

Let me just start by saying that the food and drinks were excellent. Fair prices for farm-to -table dinning on Maui. Portions were large for fine dinning and the menu had a lot of interesting options.

The reason I’m leaving 3 stars is due to the service. Everyone was nice but at over $100 a head, I do expect a certain level of professionalism. We had a 6:15 reservation and we specially chose that time so we could be seated with drinks for the sunset. We checked in at 6:10 and then again at 6:30. We were sat at 6:35, just after the sunset. As the host sat us she apologized for the wait but then continued to explain that the delay was to ensure the servers had enough time between tables being sat, etc and then she was really adamant about us sitting in the same side of the table. Which we thought was strange.

Our server was nice and knowledgeable. However, when it was clearly time for the check she asked us on three separate occasions if we wanted coffee or anything else. We would say no thank you, then she would leave. Eventually we had to ask for the check.

Lastly, I feel there is something else worth mentioning. When we made the reservation, it asked if we were celebrating anything special. We wrote that we were on Maui for our honeymoon. When we checked in with the host she clearly saw the note and said “Oh, it’s your honeymoon?” No congratulations or anything like that. But just made a note of confirming it with us. The server did not say anything nor did we receive anything special, comped desert, nothing. I understand that many people come to Maui for their honeymoon and maybe the restaurant can’t give something nice to all of these couples. But if that’s the case, do no ask during the reservation booking process and train your staff not to mention anything when they check in. Pretty disappointing considering this was our romantic dinner...

We were on our honeymoon and wanted to be treated to a fine dining experience and it was nothing short of world-class! If available, I’d highly recommend getting the outdoor dining experience and a reservation before 530 if available. The sun sets around 630/7 and this is perfect timing as you wind down your evening for dessert. Our server, Davide was absolutely delightful and he was able to take sunset pictures for us. Davide had plenty of recommendations for pairing drinks with our food and extremely knowledgeable with the ingredients of each dish. We ended up choosing the lemongrass curry fish trio, mushroom risotto, and beef short ribs. The Lemongrass Curry had the fresh catches of the day (3 types of fish) which were cooked to perfection. The curry had a good amount of kick and the vegetables were cooked just right. The Mushroom Risotto was immaculate! Risotto tends to be heavy and super rich, but chef definitely knows how to make it feel light. Density of the cream with the mixture of locally grown grains was perfectly married. The Short Ribs with the chilli-Dijon sauce packed a punch and was cooked beautifully. Paired with a creamy mash and vegetables, this dish was nothing short of inspiring. To end off the evening, we had the tropical pavlova, and the carrot cake. Each was done delicately and both were very light. I’d recommend both depending on your specialities. Overall our evening was exquisite! Compliments to both the chef and Davide for making our evening so wonderfully enjoyable. Can’t beat the views either!

Went here for dinner as it had good reviews. Didn’t go with a reservation since it seemed wide open with time slots on OpenTable. Upon seating, we were greeted with a very friendly server who was unfortunately the only redeeming quality of this restaurant and hence the rating. Started with grilled focaccia and poke appetizers. The poke actually wasn’t bad… tasted fresh and came with crispy taro chips. The grilled focaccia had absolutely no flavor at all except for the burnt char of the grill marks… and I’m not talking the tasty char type.. bitter carbon taste. To top it off, the olive oil they provide has no seasoning to it… so couldn’t help the lack of flavor in the focaccia. For entree I got the filet mignon. That bitter burnt char showed up in the unseasoned steak ruining its flavor. Now the steak was cooked my chosen temperature (medium) but let me tell you… that was the chewiest filet mignon I’ve ever had. The lack of seasoning and the burnt flavor of the grill marks made me want to douse it in the broccoli sauce to see if I could mask it… to no avail. And this filet doesn’t come cheap.. over $50. Overall very disappointed with the food at this place especially for the high prices. The service from our waiter and the location (directly on the beach) was nice though.

We enjoyed a fantastic dining experience at PACIFIC-O. Not only was the food and service amazing, but the views from our table of the sun setting over the Pacific were breathtaking and romantic. For starters, we had the Maui Onion & Goat Cheese and O’s Farm Salad – with tender fresh greens and creamy cheese: Delightful! Then, for entrees, I ordered the ribeye steak and my wife ordered the Poached Kampachi Fish. Both were mouth-watering delicious! For dessert, we ordered the Banana Bread, which again was fabulous. Our server Jeremy was super energetic and constantly attentive, and we felt very special. Well, our first dining experience at PACIFIC-O was so incredibly great, that we returned a few days later! This time we ordered Pork Belly and Shrimp Wontons for appetizers – which we shared because they were so good! For entrees, we ordered the Kona Ahi Tuna and the Lamb Chops – both were remarkable in texture and dazzling in flavor! For dessert, we shared the Lumpia rolls; the French Press Coffee was great as well. This time, our server was Evelyn, also outstandingly attentive and efficient. We cannot say enough great things about PACIFIC-O, its fabulous food, outstanding service, and beautiful ocean views! Very Highly Recommended.
