I have eaten at this companies three locations more than 15 times, and over the last four years I have noticed an increasing lack of quality and taste, and this weekends experience was the last straw. I will not eat here again. I ordered their green vegetable curry and it was only a weak white over sweetened bowl of coconut milk with almost no vegetables - almost all onions and chopped cabbage, with no carrots, one small piece of broccoli, and not even one chunk of potato; and nothing else but over sweetened coconut milk. It was so disappointing to pay almost $15 for something that soo substandard. Their red curry with meat, and their noodle dishes are still reliably a 3 out of 5, but their green curries are so bland it’s embarrassing.
I have eaten Thai food all over the world, and this dish tops the list as the worst bowl of Thai food I have ever been served anywhere, and that is saying something because a lot of Thai food in Europe is awful.
When you ask the staff at their trucks they simply say that the recipes are set and can not be changed, so they can not add anything or make it more tasty in any way.
Simply put this place is not worth at it at all.
The shameful thing is that the owner must know better because when they first opened in Kahului they served an honest meal, but now many of their dishes are quite disappointing.
I really don’t get off on giving a poor review to any local company, we all need support for our businesses, in these time, but when a business is so woefully negligent in their services or products it needs to be pointed out, so others can make a choice...
Read moreWe had a big day we decided to stop at the food trucks in Kihei, Maui. We're we're famished from our trip up the Haleakala summit. We were looking for delicious food to satisfy big hungers. We looked over all the trucks and decided on Thai Mee Up as we all love Thai food.
We were greeted by a very pleasant young Worm1 who took time to answer all our questions and explained everything we wanted to know. I ordered Drunken Noodles with Chicken as the protein. My wife ordered the Pad Thai (with chicken) and my Step Daughter ordered Panang curry with Tofu.
My Drunken Noodles was fantastic! Just the right amount of spice for me( made me sweat )! The chicken was done perfectly and was flavorful and perfectly cooked! My wife liked her Pad Thai too. But she felt it was too spicy, for her taste. When I had some I found it just the right amount of "heat". The Panang curry was the best my step daughter has ever had!!
The place exuded everything you'd want from any dine-in restaurant . The meals came quickly despite the food truck being busy. The seating was plentiful to seat our group of 4 adults and an 8 year old!
All and all a great...
Read morethis establishment takes an unpublished break from 3:30-unknown and did not provide this information to the me until 3:27 when calling back after I had placed my order to make sure I knew about this break, and that they're going to leave unless I'm still coming pick up my food. Their published hours say they are open until 8pm with no break included. I sped the rest of the way there, feeling terrible that I was still 10-15 min away. I apologized and tipped generously for waiting for me but the person working implied I was lucky to have gotten my food because otherwise they would've just left and was giving major attitude. I wouldn't have placed an order if I knew I had to be there within a certain time frame. Overall, it was an anxiety inducing experience. The company needs to update their hours to reflect a lunch break like other restaurants so as to not inconvenience customers and...
