This place is interesting and unique. The atmosphere of Levi and Lilac's is pretty darn cool. The giant wall of Whiskey bottles makes for an interesting ambiance and a nice place to eat. I'm not a drinker and came here only for the food, so I cannot write on anything related to the drinks. I can say the customer service wasn't extraordinary but they still did a good job. It felt like everyone was overwhelmed and like something was off. We came on a night with live music and didn't realize it. We were seated close to the live music - I wouldn't recommend that because it was very loud and I would say that impacted this review quite a bit. We were asked if it was okay to be seated there, to be fair, and we should have spoken up when it became too much. In terms of ordering food, we got 2 burgers with fries. I have food allergies and the waitress did a good job of checking with the kitchen for my food allergies. The fries were on point - crispy and delicious. I feel like they could have used more seasoning but they weren't bad by any means. The burgers were a bit more expensive than I would like, but they were a good size. The euro omelet burger had a whiskey glaze that made the burger taste only of whiskey. My spouse still ate it but reported he would not eat it again. It bears repeating that we don't drink, so if you like whiskey you'll love this burger. I wasn't a big fan of his burger personally either. However, the Old MacDonald burger was very balanced and tasted fantastic. I highly recommend that burger. I ordered a to go plain jane burger with everything and goat cheese, and it got the seal of approval from my teen. She loved how creamy the goat cheese was on the burger and felt that every bite was satisfying. She was disappointed the chips were Miss Vicky's but that was the only negative thing to report. All burgers were medium well and they did a good job of cooking them properly. Well done! Overall this made for a fun and different date night. I recommend trying Levi and Lilac's at least one for the ambiance and especially if you are a fan of alcohol. We plan to return on a night without live music to see if this impacts the experience. I'll update then!

Omg!!!! Un.effing.real. You are steeped in history. Look at and feel the stones, the bricks, the wood; can feel history pulling you in. The bar, over 80 whiskeys, half off on Mondays (gonna do that). The friendly, personable staff are the best. The food hand made and cooked to perfection. Then you go up a set of stairs...and there is an intimate space for musical performers, like on PBS...Persian rug, sound equipment, lights, and chairs on three sides...a small bar to maintain the flow. I accompanied a kind gentleman who knows Rachel, half of King Margo. I had not heard of them; how, I do not know. They are true musicians and artists; their music, their sound, their vibe, their lyrics and music stir the soul; they took me on an extended roller coaster of emotion: tears, laughter, love, compassion; the hair stood up on my arms several times; it was a spiritual experience. If there had been a dance floor, I'd a been first on there...lol. I will happily and gratefully return, with or without live music. A (hidden?) gem. Thank you, thank you, thank you. One of the best experiences of my life.

Went to Levi and Lilac for the first time Saturday. Such a fun atmosphere. The building and its history always intrigued me. The evening started off fun with a wonderful Lemon Curd Brie Cheese with Baguette. The Cocktails were outstanding. We had Old Fashions, Whisky Sour and a whisky with a red wine float. The place was tastefully done with an outstanding assortment of whiskies. My Burger was outstanding. French Fries were even better. Now the salad on the other hand looked like it was created on a Taco Bell line with shredded lettuce and small pieces of chicken. The Salad was a disappointment but we still had fun. We were originally seated in the main room with music. The singer was good but had the amplifier up too loud for a small room. We couldn't hear each other so we had to move to the upper lounge. It was still very loud so we couldn't visit and chat with each other much until he took breaks between songs. All in all it was a fun evening.

Overall...Disappointing! There were 8 of us trying out Levi & Lilac's for the first time. We new the history of the location and had heard good things about the restaurant.

There was over an hour wait which is fine but they would not allow you to have drinks at the bar to wait and there wasn't really any other waiting area. So this was a big first strike. That left us trying to figure out what the 8 of us were going to do for over an hour. We finally were seated and it had a very nice atmosphere in there. We were a little disappointed when the live music started. Don't get me wrong...we love live music. This was very loud for such a small area though. We weren't able to have any kind of conversation with anyone who wasn't directly beside or in front of you. It took awhile for a server to get our drink orders. This was a sign of things to come. So we put our names on the list at about 6pm. Were seated around 7:30. By 9:45pm we still had not received our meals. Our server seemed to have forgotten about us. When we brought it up with the manager he just seemed to shrug it off. And then even after us making them aware of our dissatisfaction...the server or manger never again checked in with us. And to top it off...my wife's food was severely undercooked. By that point...we had enough and just left.

I feel like a lot of our dissatisfaction could have been addressed by a more attentive server and manager. People will be a lot more patient and understanding if there is better communication. So unfortunately what was intended to be a fun birthday celebration turned into a very...

The first time we went the food was wonderful and the drinks were fantastic which is why we decided to go again. I'll start by saying we had a party of 8 on the first warm day of the year and were seated in 5 minutes. It took quite a while to get water and our first drink. Just order 2 drinks right off the bat and get appetizers in too because it will be at least an hour down time. The delay between service is really bad. I think the server may have had a hearing problem or it could have been the blaring live music 4 inches from our table. All in all, it took 3 hours for our meal which consisted of a very very dry hamburger which was the wrong order, missing items from other sandwiches and about four french fries each. To top it all off, our bills were completely wrong. Our drinks on our guests bill, their appetizers on our bill, charges for drinks that we never received because the service was so slow. It was a hot mess and I really don't think that we will give it another try for the cost unless we are just going to grab a quick drink. Unfortunately very disappointed from our first visit. Update..... Returned post pandemic. Is it really lost pandemic though? Who knows. We did not eat this time, just stopped in for a drink. Exceptional. I think the new bartender is amazing. The staff is all really good and this place has...
