I recently graduated from PSI in March and I’m grateful for the opportunity to get my LPN. There was unfortunately a lot of problems with staffing that I do believe affected some parts of my education. While there was a lot of great teachers that made going to class amazing (Ms.Deb, Ms.Nicole,) plus many more. But the problem was either having a teacher who has no idea how to teach the course to students or teachers would leave in the middle of a quarter and not put in grades or anything while putting the responsibility on the teacher that would be subbing in for them. My other problem I have is the responsibility and communication or lack there of. I am/was interested on going back to PSI for the Lpn to rn program. I joined a video call that gave interested people information on what we need to do to go back for the program. Requirements such as getting a physical, proof of immunization and other requirements. I need a paper for the physical so my doctor can sign it when I get one completed. So after the meeting I emailed the creator of the video call which was Nikoll orlow, I believe she part of the admissions team. I also emailed the admissions email that I have. I never got a response, I understand they are busy but it will be a week tomorrow since I sent out a email. I decided to call the school multiple times and was sent to the admissions phone but was always sent to voicemail. Which I also sent two voicemails with my name and number with my question. I never got a response. The only reason I’m giving three stars instead of two was because of Brian. He is part of career services, so I know he wasn’t the correct person for my question but I know he would atleast answer my emails. I emailed him yesterday and got a response almost right away saying he would talk to admissions and got what I needed. I never heard anything so I emailed him again just to see if there was any updates today and he said he would go check on that for me. He is the only reason why I have somewhat hope for getting the documents that I need. Although I know I haven’t got it yet I know it’s not his fault since it’s not his department or responsibility. He honestly deserves a raise for everything that he has done to help me. If I don’t get the paper by today I will be going to the school tomorrow and won’t be as nice or happy about it as I have been. Will also probably be looking at other schools to do the RN program as I don’t see this as acceptable or...
Read moreDon’t waste your time at this school. Very unprofessional and unorganized. I Attended this school for my LPN to RN program and unenrolled. The school did not have adequate staffing so you were left to basically teach yourself bc teachers are stuck teaching 5 courses so they have no time for you. Admissions is misleading with the days you will spend on campus so beware! And clinical instructor, Ashley, is racist and incompetent to hold the position given. She literally had mental break downs on the hospital floor several times. If given the option do not do clinicals with her. The DON, Karen, is just there for a check bc she literally does nothing. Myself and others went to her on several occasions with complaints and nothing was ever done. She would laugh and disregard everything you said. Get everything in writing when communicating with these people. I had to threaten legal action to get my financial aid released after I left the school. You are better off going to your local community college honestly. These private schools literally do what they want and play games at...
Read moreI am writing this review to inform everyone of how this business operates within the winter months.
They do NOT salt the parking lot. They do NOT salt the sidewalk you have to take to get to the front doors. Numerous students have complained to the front desk and admissions about this issue and NOTHING seems to change. They claim to have a company that comes to remove snow and salt the walkways, however, if they don't show up until 12 in the afternoon, WHAT IS THE POINT? Classes start at 8am. This morning, I had to fill out an incident report because I fell walking into the building. There was no salt on the sidewalk what-so-ever. I am also 8 months pregnant. On top of being 8 months pregnant and falling on my hands and knees, I had to obtain a Drs note to "prove" my pregnancy to be able to park in the front parking lot. AND YOU STILL DON'T SALT?! This needs to change or the local news station will be hearing of my complaints. Maybe they will be more opt to help me and other...
