Panera Bread proved to be the perfect pit stop on our recent journey from Ohio to Michigan. My wife and I were in need of a quick snack to fuel our travels, and Panera Bread delivered just that. The selection of pastries and treats was impressive, and we found something to satisfy both of our cravings.
I opted for a cookie, and I must say, it was a delightful choice. The cookie was freshly baked, with a perfect balance of sweetness and chewiness. It was a simple pleasure that brought a smile to my face.
To cool off on a warm summer day, I couldn't resist trying their frozen lemonade. And I must say, it was a refreshing and tangy delight. The frozen lemonade was perfectly blended, with just the right amount of tartness and sweetness. It provided a much-needed burst of rejuvenation during our long drive.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the dining area was clean and comfortable. It was a pleasant place to take a break and recharge before continuing our journey.
Overall, our experience at Panera Bread was delightful. The tasty treats, particularly the cookie, and frozen lemonade, made our visit memorable. We would definitely recommend Panera Bread as a convenient and satisfying stop for anyone traveling between Ohio...

STRIKE 1.
The beverage station had all but two of the drinks broken down and sitting on the counter. All mixed up, tags just in a pile. Looked awful.
STRIKE 2.
Portion sizes have gone DOWN, rewards are non-existent, and food quality was terrible. Seriously, a bread bowl is now a cup, smaller andd and the same price as before. That means you still pay the upcharge!
The soup was watered down, referred to as hydrated when the milk burns off, tasted like burnt cheese, soured and yes, like water!
Soba bowl had little broth in it. I'm told that the broth is the high cost of the product, so I can't get more. It's the most expensive thing I ordered! At least make it look like a full bowl of broth.
STRIKE 3.
I had been a customer for YEARS. I've noticed the decline all over the US in Panera. My family, which usually spends $50 to $60 at a time, will no longer be eating at any...

Like many chains, there are differences, sometimes subtle and sometimes blatant, between specific locations. My favorite Panera location is in Perrysburg, the other side of the Maumee River from this location. This Maumee location is open, airy, and welcoming… yet colder, less clean and tidy, and slower than Perrysburg and a few others.
We frequently go into places, already familiar, with the place and menu, and even knowing what we’re planning to order… but we still like to ask for recommendations. The girl at the counter cringed a bit while saying, “I really don’t like our sandwiches, but I’m not much of a sandwich girl.” I always appreciate honesty, but I was not expecting that.
Overall, a good visit. If this location had been my first impression of Panera, I’d be pleased, and also...
