I was so excited about trying this spot out. I found out about them from one of the marketplaces and when I heard they had vegan ice cream and vegan desserts I was intrigued. I was even more excited to learn that they offered turkey chops. As a person who does not eat beef or pork and I have not done so in over 30 years, I was looking forward to a new way to enjoy turkey. Unfortunately the turkey chops were not flavorful, they were a bit tough, and a bit dry. The outer coating had flavor but the meat itself did not. There were a lot of tough spots and gristle, with fatty pieces, so needless to say I did not enjoy the chops at all. The cornbread muffin was definitely burnt, you could see it without even removing the liner and there's no way this should have been sold to a customer, in my opinion. Upon further inspection it definitely was black on the bottom when I removed the liner which was rather disappointing because I'm one of the few people who enjoys a cornbread muffin. The highlight of my meal was the greens. Not only did they not have any pork or beef in them, but they were flavorful and tender. The yams were also a hit. I paid about $20 for my meal so I definitely was disappointed that I did not enjoy the main entree. I forgot to mention that the smothered turkey chops were served on top of rice with gravy. The rice had no hint of salt, pepper or any seasoning and it was very bland. The gravy taste fine but it needed to be all over the rice for the rice to have some flavor. As you can see from the video I didn't eat much of the rice or the chops but I ate all of the greens and later in the day I finish the yams, so I paid $20 for a small serving of greens and yams LOL. Next time I will probably order just vegetables unless I see another entree that I'm willing to take a risk on. I gave the atmosphere a three because the TV and music was playing. The music was overpowering the TV and for me I would have preferred one or the other, preferably the music. I didn't get any vegan cake or ice cream on this visit because I didn't have time in my day to be able to enjoy it. I will give them another shot and hopefully I'll be able to increase the rating. Go by and check them out. They are small local business and I'm a fan of both. I was welcomed when I came in, however, while taking my order the young lady stopped in the middle of placing my order to walk away and pull some things out the cooler to put on the counter. I had to ask her did you submit my order? She said oh no let me come and finish that. So that extended the already long wait for my meal. I noticed two other people walked in while I was there to pick up they're order, but their food wasn't ready when they got there but they only waited for a few minutes before they were handed their food. In the future I will definitely be ordering in advance. I still gave them four stars instead of three simply because the vegetables were good, and the lady was polite enough. Plus they're a fairly new business in the area and I want to see them succeed so I'm hopeful that they will be around for the long haul.

This food is seriously good the customer service was fine my reason for 4 star instead of 5 is strictly for wait time . I understand about food being cooked to order but they were extreme lol . Literally we ordered at like 3 10 or 315 our food was not ready till almost 5PM LIKE LITERALLY 440 or something we walked the square watched a whole law and order episode . The food is delicious which is hard to find frfr soul food. The young lady up front was like 20 to 25 min wait which is typical of cook to order but smh way more than that. I'm a huge foodie I go alot of places even have a blog and you can check out my reviews on here so I want to again say FOOD WAS GOOD . HOPEFULLY SHOULD YOU GO YOU READ THIS FIRST AND BE PREPARED TO WAIT ! I do understand that alot of small businesses don't have staff but that definitely needs to be a priority now that things are opened back up and full transparency is good too saying hi please expect 45 mins to an hour wait so ppl can make that decision we ended up changing our other plans for afterwards because we just didn't want to be a bother and ask for a refund and leave sweet ppl good food please be upfront about wait time and should you deliver before cool but at least patrons have a reasonable understanding. We got smothered porkchops and smothered chicken both were tender and good well seasoned More visuals on my tiktok:Juskesha87 Instagram:CONTENTWITKESHA Fb :Contentwitkesha I pray more ppl experience their food and the get more help to help with the wait time food quality isn't an issue that's spot on

For the past three weeks, I’ve been searching for some good Southern soul food. Most of the restaurants I’ve visited have been pretty disappointing. Although this one had one of the lowest ratings on Google, I decided to give it a try and surprisingly, the food was pretty decent. It wasn’t quite Southern soul food, but it had potential. The Pros: The turkey wing was really good tender and flavorful. The mac and cheese was creamy, though it could use a bit more seasoning, especially black pepper. The greens were also tasty, and the yams were good too. The Cons: While the chicken was flavorful, I prefer chicken with the bone in, so I wish their chicken breast option wasn’t boneless. The dressing, even with the gravy, was very dry. I also wish they offered cranberry sauce it might have helped because the dressing had a strong sage flavor. I’ll probably visit again, but I do hope they improve the wait time. I waited over 30 minutes, which seemed long for what I ordered. Additionally, the restaurant could be a bit cleaner; the clutter made it feel less inviting. The young lady with the red hair could have been friendlier as well. I did enjoy the selection of gospel music they played it added a nice touch but the volume was so loud that it was difficult for the cashier to hear my order, even though I tend to speak loudly. She even mentioned that she couldn’t hear me, and I completely understood why. Overall: I’d rate this restaurant a 3.5 out of 5. It has real potential if they make a few improvements in service speed, cleanliness, and food consistency.
