I paid a visit to this restaurant on Saturday February 22nd. Upon being seated it took 5 to 10 minutes to receive chips and Salsa, and an additional 5 minutes to get appetizer plates because we were a party of 4. Due to a language barrier our waiter could barely understand us. He took our drinks and appetizer orders just to come back 10 minutes later to re-take the same order. We waited an additional 10 minutes for the drinks and had to flag him down just to ask what's going on with our drinks which his face seemed as if he forgot. Another waitress due to the language barrier came to ask if we could wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes for the appetizers due to the volume of people at the restaurant. We reluctantly obliged because we were in McDonough GA after 8:30pm with no other prospects and we hadn't eaten since early in the day. Once the appetizers arrived one of our guests had to ask for a fork for her meal which should have came with the silverware to begin with. Twice, again due to the language barrier 2 separate servers came with spoons with minutes in between both times before being presented finally with a fork while her food was getting cold. The Calamari was ordered which had a fried lemon included, not sure if that was part, guess I would have to see the menu, but it did seem a bit out of place. I ordered the appetizer sampler which came out cold and the queso already gelling over. I did not bother to even order a meal. The other guests did order which took an additional 15 to 20 minutes to arrive. One of the guests asked for the manager which I believe his name was Emmanuel, to ask about his meal and let him know about the lousy service to no avail. We did pay and still tipped despite it all. We never received a receipt after paying with our cards, and by that time we were so over this place we just left. I was told this place had been open for a little over a month, so they should have had their wait staff on point. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone after this experience without even a small apology for the inconvenience. I heard a new location will be opened in Snellville soon so you'd...
Read moreI went here last night 10/7/23 with my Daughter for our regularly scheduled Saturday date night. We were seated by the bar in the very last booth in that area. The server (Bonnevie) took our drink orders but I actually had to stop her and ask her for some chips and salsa. Needless to say, the service went down hill from here. We had to stop and wave her down for anything and everything that we needed because she never came back to the table. We had finished our meal and I waited at least 15 minutes for her to return so I could place a to-go order. I eventually saw a Manager and asked her for a menu so I could place a to-go order, but she forgot to come back as well. Our server went to the table behind us a couple times but immediately walked off without looking our way and before we could get her attention. The next time she came to that same table, I actually had to interrupt her so I could get her to come to our table. I asked for the check and placed my to-go order that I had used my phone to pull up the menu. I asked that she put the to-go order on a separate check twice... she eventually came back and brought the two checks. I cashed out and waited for my to-go order to arrive. My daughter saw the manager and called her over to the table and began to recap our dining experience. She simply said sorry and kept it moving. My Daughter was paying for Dinner so she said that she was only leaving a minimal tip of a couple dollars. Fast forward to today... when the transaction from the restaurant posted, SOMEONE added a $10 tip because my total that was signed for was nothing like what was charged to my account. Not sure if you or your company realizes this, but this is called STEALING!! This entire transaction needs to be refunded ASAP! And you don't have to ever worry about my family or I ever setting another foot inside of your sorry and...
Read moreI am editing my review from 7 months ago. Overall, my rating has dropped to a 4. I've been going frequently & noticed the drinks aren't as good & the food is about the same, it's okay. I've tried several margaritas & they just aren't that good. The regular flavor isn't good & the drinks are also lacking in alcohol, unless you order the Don Julio Repo margarita. To add a flavor, like mango or strawberry, it's an upcharge. Honestly, the added flavor may be necessary to give the margarita some taste to it.
Also, I think different servers prepare the $14 tableside guacamole differently. The first time the presentation was great! The last time (and I do mean last time, bcuz I'm not ordering it again), the young lady did a blah job at presentation (see new photo) & didn't bring out the chips with it. I had to ask for them.
Do better, Hacienda! Overall, 4.5! We decided to have Girls Night & try a new spot. Our first time dining at Hacienda McDonough & it was very good. The drinks were STRONG & HUGE (pictured is the medium)! I had the Hacienda margarita & my friends had the top shelf margarita. We enjoyed them all & one was enough. The chips were very light & crisp. Very good! We had the guacamole made at the table. It was decent. It could have used more seasoning. I had the Fajita Burrito with steak & it was okay. It was huge & I couldn't finish it all. I wasn't a fan of the chorizo inside of it but the steak was tender & delicious. My friends enjoyed their dishes as well. Jose was our waiter & he was great! The music was LOUD! The saxophonist was very good but we could hardly hear ourselves talk. I would request to sit farther away from the music the next time. We will hear it anywhere in the restaurant. We plan to make this location a frequent stop & I'll try something...
