My sister and I came here to work on some stuff today and it was great :)

Some musicians were playing music which I loved, my sister had to wear headphones to focus on her homework though. Some people there were also working (great wifi connection) but pretty sure most were there to socialize which makes sense on a Sunday afternoon!

One of the parts that stood out to me is the super friendly barista. I just ordered $1 chips, and she said don’t worry about tipping - I know that’s such a small detail but most baristas would’ve expected a tip - I of course tipped her anyways because she deserves tips for her happy energy and I’m sure she is hard working. When my sister ordered her drink, she also said something along the lines similar to that to not make her feel pressured to tip. I enjoy tipping always, but other coffee shops often turn the tablet around and somehow pressure you to tip simply with how they wait and watch.

One last thing - I LOVE all the art on the walls for sale. It makes the location unique and colorful and elevates your mood.

This place is about half hour from my home but we will most likely be back since it’s a great coffee shop, and there’s also lots to shop in...

I don't normally like to praise places I like a lot because I don't like to compete for time/table space with other people, but I'd like for this place to stick around so here goes. This is the coffee shop I have dreamed of having in McKinney Square. They did a very soft opening a long time ago and I didn't discover it until a couple of months ago. They use their very own filtered rain water (hence their name) in all of their products. Great coffee starts with great water. It's the attention to all of the details that I appreciate. They use a brand of coffee that I am fond of, Cuvee, which is also a local coffee roaster. And it's true, the coffee is so great here, there's no need to put sugar in it. It's a very hip place, and I feel like I could be in Deep Ellum or the Design District when I'm there. They offer wifi. As a side business, there's also a friggin recording studio on site, and live music on certain evenings. Interested in voice lessons? They offer that too. They are at times understaffed, so be patient. The people who work there are very nice, and you will be...

They were using cuvée coffee from Austin. I drove here instead of going back to dallas, but was disappointed because they are using oak cliff now. Oak cliff is horrible coffee I might as well go to a Starbucks because it's as bad! Very disappointed! I left without making a purchase and unfortunately I can longer recommend this place. The McKinney square should shut them down for lowering their standards so low!

Yeah, I just read your reply. I was gonna update my review until I read your reply to me. I won't be back and everyone I can tell about your sh!tty little store I will. You as the owner should try to improve based on real customer reviews, but instead are simply a rude person. You made it personal by making personal attacks. You did NOT have any cuvée in the store when I was there. You should do an integrity check. Obviously it's needed. The only clown is you and the clown show you provide as entertainment in the square.

You have had all your friends and/or relatives give you reviews below. Manufacturing false...

★★★★★ Exceptional Pour Over Experience with the "Lumen" I just visited Filtered Coffee under its new ownership and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. I tried their “Lumen" pour-over, a single-origin Colombian coffee with tasting notes of guava, cheesecake, Golden Delicious apple, and pear**. The flavor profile was bright, and beautifully balanced. The fruity sweetness of guava and pear shone through, followed by a subtle note of cheesecake. The barista Ally, clearly took care in the preparation, making it a truly enjoyable cup. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the new ownership seems dedicated to quality and craft. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their offerings! **Highly recommend** to any coffee lovers in the McKinney area looking for a specialty brew done right.

Filtered was truly a gem. I had their matcha with strawberry (if I recall correctly), and it was so good that I genuinely considered driving an hour just to have it again. Even though I usually avoid coffee, I did try a sip of my friend’s drink—and it was excellent. You can tell they know what they’re doing. It turns out they’ve even won awards for their coffee, and I can absolutely see why. The cafĂ© is located in downtown McKinney, which made the experience even better—after enjoying our drinks, we got to walk around and explore the charming area. Overall, it was a fantastic spot for both quality drinks and atmosphere.
