Long John Silver's Temp — Restaurant in McKinney

Absolute horrible service absolute horrible service. I ordered the fish, shrimp and chicken combo for my grandmaand decided I wanted to try the new red velvet cheesecake off bat the lady told me they were out and gave me other options. I told her I was OK and I’ll pass and then she stated “ I think we have some in the back “ and then went ahead to charge me upon charge me. She realized they didn’t have any. they then proceeded to make me pull around the front of the building to wait for my food and my refund after about 15 minutes of waiting she walked out and told me to get back in line for my refund where I waited in additional 10 minutes behind a white truck being that I was so heated after she gave me my refund for the cheesecake I asked for a refund for the entire meal she said she couldn’t give me a refund for a meal that I already took with me. I told her I never got my meal to begin with. she apologized and offered to remake it since I told her I knew that it was probably cold by now it’s almost like they didn’t want to give me a refund not to mention all they gave me was tartar sauce in the bag I asked for ketchup, hot sauce I mean, it’s more than just fish in this box to give someone just tartar sauce. This was the worst customer service. I believe I’ve ever experienced. My grandma said she enjoyed the fries. I haven’t been here since I was Literally a kid. The lady name Cecilia is rude and extremely unprofessional. my guess is that she has somewhat of a mental or some type of disability. the so called mgr at my recent visit had to repeatedly ask her to not speak. it became a shouting match between the two of them, in front of me. insults were exchanged. every time I come and she is working the drive thru, no matter how simple my order is, she had issues. she never let's you ask your complete inquiry. she assumes so much that she is always wrong and over tslks you and cant comprehend anything. overall, she is one strange individual. I visited this location on 9/29/2022 and inquired with the young mgr, Avarf and asked was he aware of my previous incident. he said no. so I explained and his response was " that's just the way she is" and also said they were hurting for employees so they would not let her go. he then said when they get more people they would place her in the back somewhere. What kind of business is this! i ask for the general mgr to call me, but no call was made to me on 9/30 as promised. he said his name was Bob. I don't mind coming to this restaurant, but I can't deal with Cecilia. she should not be working the window or front with customers. something is truly wrong with her and...

It's nothing extravagant to talk about. I haven't actually eaten here in like a few years not this particular location but just Long John silver's in general. I realize that my childhood made food taste a lot better than it does now. I guess I was trying to spark up my childhood nostalgia for a little bit. But upon further inspection, this food chain is just overly expensive and the portions are too small. Paying a little over $6 for a few items is not much and I'm still a little hungry. For one the breading is so thick on the chicken that it's kind of impossible to feel like I actually ate a piece of chicken. That whole Chunk in the picture of the chicken, on the top was just breading. Also it seemed like they found the three smallest pieces of shrimp in the building and decided to use that. The shrimp is dusted with Cajun seasoning but it seems a little too salty for my taste. At least they cook the shrimp decently but it's tiny.

The various little crumbs at the bottom are fun to eat but I'm pretty sure my arteries will not be thanking me later.

Overall this place is all right to eat once every 3 to 4 years. Back in the 90s this was all the rage but now not so much. I guess I'll go get myself some...
