Arby's — Restaurant in Medford

Super disappointed they don’t provide a way to order to go, without going through the drive thru. We were unable to go through the drive through because we were towing a RV, so we parked across the street and I walked over. I understand the lobby being closed (due to covid) but since not everyone is able to come through in a vehicle, there should be some type of option for outside ordering, or even online or by phone. I called 4 times and no one ever answered, so I walked behind the building to the drive through window and asked about ordering in person. The employee acted annoyed and said “I guess you can order here.” I explained I didn’t want to cut in front of the people in the drive through line and I could wait my turn but the employee told me I would have to order right then and there if I wanted to get food. (It doesn’t make sense to me why he couldn’t take my order after the current drive through customers) So I ordered as quickly as possible & paid and said I’d wait off to the side so they could keep helping the drive through line and he told me to just wait Cuz they were getting my order ready right now. In the end it worked out cuz I got my food and it tasted good (minus them giving me the wrong kind of drink), but the drive through customers were super mad, of course at me, though I had no control over what the employee was asking of me. Covid restrictions aren’t new. This restaurant should have some type of 2nd option for ordering, if they’re committed to serving all customers. Even their website says most locations offer carry out but to call and confirm, but then they never answered when I called 4 separate...

The service and cleanliness was AWFUL! We walked in and there was one customer eating and one employee on break. We walked to the front counter and waited for six minutes before anybody even acknowledged us.When someone finally came from the back he looked at us looked at the drive-through window and walked over to the drive-through window, never acknowledging us. When he finally did come over to take the order he never apologized or anything for the wait or lack of greeting. Then when we sat down and had finally received our food a homeless looking man came into the restaurant and asked a young girl at the counter if he could bring his cats in since they were in carriers. She proceeded to say yes. The man then went outside grabbed his two cats, came in and set them under the table right behind us, when the rest of the restaurant was completely empty. The cats immediately started meowing and he walked outside. He came back with a cat litter box and box of cat litter and put them on the table. I asked to see a manager. She told the man to take the cats outside and kind of shrugged her shoulders. The entire staff had an attitude of “oh well” and could not care less about customer service. She refused to give me the name of the GM or owner of that franchise and told me to call the 800 number or I could leave my number and somebody would call me back. I chose not to leave my information. I called the 800#and took the survey. P.S. when the man removed his cats and litter box from the restaurant, the girl at the front counter did not even go over and wipe the table off....

Arby's food was great. The roast beef is classic. The sandwiches are excellent.

I'm not sure what is going with the drive thru right now but be prepared to spend some time there. Double check your bags.

We've been there twice in the last three weeks. The first time they gave us a bag with our sandwiches and said it would be just a moment for the curly fries. 17 minutes later they tried to give us an order that wasn't ours plus a duplicate of what we already had.

The last time it was 2:30 in the afternoon. I was the only car in line. I ordered all classics and an order of potato wedges. I sat there for 20 minutes after they took my money. No one drove up behind me.

I'm not sure what's going on. Perhaps they're all new. I have tried benefit of the doubt. I would say the Arby's in South Medford has it more together. Even factoring in the drive, its faster.

I'm sure they'll get good again....
