DISAPPOINTED I just went inside Target to upgrade my phone. I walked in with my family and went over to the Electronics Department. As I was looking for phones one of the rep asked if I needed help and if I had any questions, which was helpful because she was able to answer some of the questions I had. Finally when I was ready to buy the phone another iTech rep comes (Taylor) she glances at me up and down. After she got done RACIAL PROFILING me grab the rep that was being helpful and tells her if she can join her as they walked to the back. After about five minutes Taylor said they are not able to help me if I am not porting in my number. I was blown away by being DISCRIMINATED. Taylor was talking to me about how the DM (District Manager) was coming down on fraud. I was like really... I am just trying to upgrade or switch my cell phone service. Taylor went on an on about fraud. I asked for the DM number because it is not ok the way Taylor was behaving. After I asked for the number she went to get a manager like I was some kind of criminal. Sarah I believe was the manager on duty comes with Taylor and says to me yes unless you are porting in your number we are not able to help you. I told Sarah everything was ok with the first iTech rep and then Taylor came, took the rep to the back and all of a sudden Target was not able to help me. (I know there is a 14 day trial period for most phone service where if you are not satisfied bring the devices back and calll it good, I was switching from Sprint to AT&T and I have never had AT&T and was not ready to port my phone number in case it didn’t work out.) I explained to Sarah, Taylor looked at me up and down discriminating against me and all Sarah said was they are not really part of Target but here is the number to call about other phone services we should have in hand. DISCRIMINATION, RACIAL PROFILING at the Medford Target was hard to believe and very disappointing. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreI will never buy another product from the electronics department. Sherri who claims to be the district manager is the rudest employee I have ever encountered in a Target. I went in to purchase two cameras for my business and planned on returning to get two more if they worked well. After a week of price matching I decided to go with the best deal, which was Target. I told this to Sherri and she immediately told me Costco had them cheaper. Not only do they not have them cheaper, they don't have anything similar to the camera I wanted. I then told her I hadn't shopped at Costco or Walmart for years. Big mistake. Sherri proceeds to preach to me about how Costco is better and I just can't compare them. By preach I mean loudly say how Costco is so great and their products are local (salmon from Alaska), etc. She also mixes in various misinformation on how stocks are publicly traded. I had to end up asking her if she was going to preach how great Costco is or sell me the cameras. This resets her off into repeating the same statements only at higher volume. I had to tell her she was either lying or didn't know what she was talking about. She then hands me my change and starts talking with another customer about how I don't know anything. I turned right around and demanded to talk to her manager, which she claimed was no one but her. She also attempted to hide her identity. No doubt so I could not write the email to Target reporting this. I went straight up to the front of the store and returned the cameras during which time a woman and a girl identifying herself as the manager informed me Sherri is only a tech manager. If Sherri likes Costco so much and thinks they have such a better employee program than Target and Walmart, she should work there. I buy a lot of things from Target since I don't shop at the other places. Thanks to Sherri I will be taking my...
Read moreExtremely negative store experience yesterday.
As soon as I walk in there is a woman and her dog. It is a large dog, no leash, no service dog jacket. Nothing. Also, it is not right next to her, it is just loose In the Store. I avoid the area, walk out of my way to avoid the Loose Dog in the Store. I then call Target to tell them this, and I get the prompt to click 2 “for a list of departments” and then 2 for “customer service” AND it hangs up on me. I tried this multiple times and could not get through because when I followed the prompts it just hung up on me. So annoying! So I could not even report it right away. I got back up to the register to check out and the dog is sitting to the left of the check stands by itself! She, the woman, is at a check-stand away from her dog. Really?!
However, what really Irks me is that I see the employees at the front of the store observing this and doing NOTHING. They did see it. So I go up to one of them (after the dog has left) and ask for the manager and it is her. She is the manager and she did nothing. I voiced my complaint and she said if she sees them again she will say something. Why did she not say something the first time?
Does it take an innocent customer who expects safety and comfort in their shopping experience to get attacked, bitten or unnerved for Target to do something? A dog that is “friendly” and “does not bite” could. I am a witness to this. Absolutely unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Target is not protecting...
