Went there yesterday for lunch. Placed 2 orders to go. The second order was sweet potato fries and I requested fry sauce as it clearly showed on the receipt. Guy brings out first order and says have a good day and I said I have a second order and haven't gotten our shakes yet. Then we get the second order which was the fries. The whole time the brunette is standing behind the counter staring at me and giving me dirty looks. When I looked in the bag they had given me ranch even though it was clearly requested for fry sauce so I asked the brunette if I can have fry sauce she had a major attitude and and walked over and handed it to me without saying a word then walked off. Welp...still sitting there waiting on my shakes...brunette continues to stare and give me dirty looks so I let them know we still hadn't got our shakes...this new girl just started making them finally...mind you we were the only people there...shakes were extremely runny. Food was good but the service was terrible. Probably shouldn't stand behind the counter rolling your eyes and giving dirty looks to paying customers bc you made the mistake of not giving them what they had asked for. Don't work in customer service if you don't like working...
Read moreThe Menu states "Fresh hand pressed burgers" and under that is a Vegi burger choice. I would have to guess, with the perfect round shape, flat and symmetrical vegi patty we received, was NOT a "fresh hand pressed" patty. They looked very similar to pre-made frozen patties we have bought before. They were too busy to question whether our Vegi burger was indeed made by them, as we were made to believe from the menu's headline. The burger was alright and not horrible by no means, but nothing compared to hand made ones we've had at other places. Nothing to write home about if looking for a quality vegi burger. Otherwise we loved the old style atmosphere and the service with a smile. *UPDATE and response to owners response; Yes, hand made, hand pressed veggie burgers DO EXIST in restaurants. We eat them whenever possible. When we saw it stated that a veggie burger choice was available and listed under your "FRESH HAND PRESSED BURGESS " We DID assume we were getting just that. Quite bummed when we saw it looked commercial made. Maybe move this choice out from under that heading to help us who think we're getting a fresh made veggie burger. Thank you for clarification that it is indeed, not made...
Read moreMysteriously my review disappeared. I left one here a couple of months ago. I went in with huge expectations, because this place has been recommended to me by several people. I get up to the ordering counter and the guy tells me that they have a blue cheese burger with Oregon's best blue cheese. I love blue cheese so I ordered it. I got it to my table and I took one bite and it was nasty. They had mixed grilled onions in with the blue cheese. Onions and blue cheese do not go together. The guy that took my order walked by the table and asked how it was. I told him that I couldn't eat it because of the onions and he turned around and walked off. Didn't say another word. The fries were good. As far as I'm concerned if you going to make a burger that has national award-winning Oregon blue cheese on it you don't ruin it with onions. He told me the cheese that they were using cost $32 a pound. If you're paying $32 a pound for cheese you should let the blue cheese be the star of the burger don't kill it with grilled onions. I sure wish I knew what $32 a pound of award winning blue cheese...
