Ollie's Brooklyn Slice isn't just a pizzeria; it's a culinary journey that transports you straight to the heart of New York City. As a seasoned connoisseur who has recently explored the renowned pizza destinations of NYC, including John's on Bleeker, Lazarra's, the OG Joe's, and Angelo's, I can confidently assert that Ollie's not only stands up to these iconic establishments but surpasses them in capturing the essence of authentic New York-style pizza.
What sets Ollie's apart is its masterful creation of the quintessential thin crust—a delicate balance that's notoriously challenging to achieve beyond the boundaries of the Big Apple. The craftsmanship in each slice is a testament to their dedication to preserving the genuine flavors of New York. The experience extends beyond the pizza, as Ollie's takes pride in offering a Caesar salad that proves to be a palate-pleasing companion to the star of the show.
But Ollie's isn't just about the exceptional food; it's an immersive dining experience. The inclusion of a beer selection complements the flavors perfectly, elevating the overall enjoyment. Venture to the back, and you'll discover a small arcade, adding a nostalgic touch that enhances the overall charm of Ollie's.

Read moreMy husband and I found out about Ollie's through a friend of ours, and it has quickly become one of my favorite pizza joints! I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY and it has been a serious struggle to find good pizza that can compare to the East Coast. If you're looking for a taste of NY, you can not find it anywhere else but Ollie's.
The vibe going in is chill. The menu is simple and not complicated (in such a great way) and they offer specialty pizzas as well as their delicious cheese pizza. I normally like to put a bunch of toppings because anywhere else just s*cks as a normal cheese but Ollie's bakes such a great cheese you don't even need toppings. I also missed getting a pizza by the slice and Ollie's offers that in case you're looking for a light lunch and a small taste of NY.
My husband ordered their Large and it is definitely a LARGE pizza (normal for me, maybe not for you) So for those used to going to Dominoes or some other cr*p joint, you're in for a good surprise. It was Valentine's Day and my husband was a little late on arrival so Ollie's graciously re-heated the pizza for us. Their customer service is inviting and makes you feel comfortable. I love going to the back of the place and playing on the arcade games. The back is cozy and personal.
If you're driving from a further distance like ourselves, you can re-heat it at 350, do a couple of minutes, and it's still delicious as eating in-person.
Ollie's you guys better stay open cause these other pizza places have nothing on you guys! Your pizza tastes like and...
Read moreFirst time in, was excited to get a slice of pepperoni after walking around and shopping. Wife wanted a slice of cheese.
We were in a hurry so got them to go. Service was good, and the atmosphere was nice.
The pepperoni was ok-ish, edible at least. The amount of pepperoni was also impressive, and it’s those little crispy ones that curl. The cheese slice was definitely borderline. Both seemed like they had been sitting for quite a while. Personally I don’t think they should have even been served. For the price point, $13 and some change with tip, I definitely was not impressed.
Costco food court pizza is by far a better option than what I got today.
Maybe it was the fact it was a slow Sunday? I definitely think the whole pizzas in the customer photos look better, but some of the slices are definitely questionable.
I don’t live in Medford but if I come back I’ll definitely skip the slice and get a whole pie...
