Hello, I was here this morning before a lake trip with some friends, and I made a promise to the beautiful lady with a tan that I would leave a review. I felt compelled to write this review because the atmosphere at this location is incredibly inviting, vibrant, and harmonious with nature. I also want to express my gratitude for the fact that I can always count on Rubys for a wholesome and quick breakfast before embarking on a long journey to the lake.
During our visit, we even engaged in a conversation about "chicken shawty" and how if Rubys on Genessee were to venture into a similar franchise system, it could potentially dominate the world. I'm unsure if the tan beauty was the owner, but she certainly seemed well-informed and spoke eloquently, exuding a brilliant demeanor. I'm absolutely convinced that with an individual of her caliber, possessing such charisma and eloquence, this establishment will undoubtedly experience rapid and remarkable growth. I implore you to please support this business.
My best wishes go out to the owners, and I'm sending heartfelt prayers that their journey towards expansion is filled with abundance and prosperity. The food quality here is truly exceptional in terms of flavor, and the added bonus is that every dish they serve arrives piping hot, with their burritos being delightfully substantial. We also discussed how it's surprising that there isn't a chain similar to Chipotle that specializes in breakfast burritos like Rubys. Hopefully, someday I'll witness this business making its mark in Arizona when I return home to visit.
Until that moment arrives, while I'm traversing the world, I'm committed to returning to support this business and to spread the word about the remarkable flavors and the warm ambiance it offers. I plan to provide another review in due time, complete with photos and even a video. Let's all embrace kindness and goodwill—let's share our positive experiences with our fellow neighbors about this remarkable place and the delightful magic it brings to...
Read moreAmazing food. Terrible service, my employee is severely lactose intolerance. Cheese was put on her sandwich. No biggie, mistakes happen. I gave that one away and I ordered her another one. The next no cheese sandwich got messed up too. They were slammed, I get it, I still tipped even though I felt like an inconvenience. After 30 minutes I waited in line and was told my sandwich was on the grill. It was not, I watched the cooks! DONT LIE TO CUSTOMERS! After 40 minutes I stood in front of the register till they brought me my sandwich, this is when I got my first and only apology. It took 2 minutes and I watched the cashier make it. I hate being that guy. I have managed restaurants. This message is for the owner and manager. When you mess up someone's order, you should always prioritize there food. If this happened at my establishment, the customer would have gotten at least 3 apologies. 1 when the mistake happened, 1 when we realized that the customer has been waiting too long, a third when we finally made the mistake right. If a customer is going to have to wait an extra 40 minutes because you messed up, you should offer them a refund first and you should give them a realistic wait time. I give out water, coffee and rolls when we mess up. They are cheap! I would have comped this entire meal at my establishment. I don't want free food. I WANT YOU TO GET A SECOND REGISTER. You have a good problem. I want to change...
Read moreReally disappointed with the awful food. Service was fine. I ordered a burger. What they served me was cooked past well done, which is a real bummer, but it was also so salty I just about went blind after eating it.
"Wow thats horrible" I think to myself, "I'd better get a drink to wash the salt down", so I order a lemonade.
What they bring me is some really good lemonade! Tastes like it's fresh made bright and yummy.....except for the ounce of dried basil they threw in the lemonade.... thats right, every sip tasted like chomping on a sour basil leaf. I love basil and I love lemonade, and I can confirm 100% the flavors do not go well together in lemonade. I'm not sure if it was too much basil maybe less would have worked but it was gross.
My buddy ordered a Reuben sandwich and said it was too salty as well. He said some spots had no salt, and others were super salty. So I paid 13 bucks for a hot salty near burned beef circle, and some basil lemon drink. Not impressed. I won't be going back to Ruby's on Genesee.
I'm not a pro, but this tip is just in case the owner reads this: figure out the fundamentals first. Figure out how to cook a real good plain burger, before trying to make it "cool and different". Same goes for the Reuben.
I've never left a 1 star review, but that dried basil in the lemonade was...
