Excellent Food, Great Service, Nice Atmosphere I highly recommend this unsuspecting restaurant in a very inconspicuous location. This quaint and dare I say charming Pub and Bier Garten is smack in between a Winn Dixie and a Walmart, at the corner of Eau Gallie and A1A near Indialantic. I had the fish and chips. The fish was a generous portion of Haddock fried and served over a generous portion of fries and some freshly made delicious coleslaw. First and foremost the fish was obviously fresh, perfectly fried and crispy and the meat was white, light and flakey. The chips (fries) were served underneath the fish and there was a nice portion of delicious and tangy tartar sauce. I was happily surprised that they actually offered Malt Vinegar to have with your Fish -n- Chips. In addition there sweet iced tea is made fresh daily and some of the best sweet iced tea I have ever tasted. Just the right amount of sweetness (for me at least). My dining partner had the "Build Your Own Taco" with chicken. I believe they offer fish as well. This dish was quite delicious. It came with generous portions , well presented with grilled chicken, shredded lettuce, shredded Mexican cheese, fresh salsa, black beans & with a delightful house sauce as a condiment along with several flour tortillas. Everything we ate or drank here was done with care and skill. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, prompt and respectful and I say this with sincerity, they seemed genuinely happy to have our business and they were also obviously happy to work there and they seemed to enjoy their jobs and everyone was proud of this restaurant and what it had to offer. Which brings me to the next reason to like this spot. They have a beautiful outdoor dining area (The Bier Garten) which has a pagoda style entrance with trellis and greenery and it has lots of little decorative string lights. We ate inside because we didn't think the outside would be as nice as it was but it was actually nice outside at around 2pm and there were several tables of customers, and one table had there dog with them. I am assuming that dogs are allowed outside if they behave. I apologize for the long winded review but this Place really was on Pointe with every aspect of our experience and I just wanted to recognize them for providing exceptional food, service and atmosphere. It was our first time but definitely will not...
Read moreGreat food and a large menu.
We were there for lunch on 2/4/23. The wings are meaty, naked and fried to the perfect crispiness on the outside. Several sauces to choose from and the hot garlic hit the spot. I had a mushroom, swiss & bacon burger that was pink & juicy. It might have been a touch on the rare side of medium (which I ordered) but exactly the way I like. The fries were hot and also crispy on the outside. Our friends had mussels in garlic sauce which were delicious. I could smell the garlic from the other end of the table. Mmmm. My wife loved her mahi sandwich.
We returned on 2/10/23 and had wings again which were just like the first time. My french dip sandwich was great and large enough to take half home. My wife actually said there was too much bacon on her BLT, but that one was one of the rare times she was wrong.
Service was good both trips. Despite the strip mall location they have managed to create a very nice beer garden area outside since they are in the corner of the mall.
All the food arrived hot on both visits. The garden area is dog friendly.
Drinks might have taken a minute or two longer to come out than one would expect.
They had 20 Belgian beers on tap, though I stuck with pilsners as I am not fond of fruity beers. The girls said the Perfect Margaritas were aptly named and the best they have had for a few years These two have had a LOT of margaritas in a lot of places.
The bill for each trip was $75-90, before the tip, for two people but that includes 3-4 drinks, total, plus food on each trip.
For our two week stay in the Melbourne area, this was the best place out of about five places where...
Read moreHighly recommend the reggae shrimp appetizer. The warm curry aroma…beautiful! My husband and I both enjoyed the Swiss bacon burger. Being the picky eater I am, I substituted the Swiss cheese with cheddar. Our burgers were perfectly cooked, juicy and full of flavor. We traveled in from the cold northeast and being foodies we enjoy the dining experience to the full. we were not disappointed when we tried your restaurant tonight. We also understand what it’s like to find employees that not only work hard but enjoy their job…good work ethics. That being said we were both impressed with our evening at this very nice restaurant. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with very friendly and welcoming staff. We observed hard working and attentive people who cared about their customers and it’s evident that they cared about who they worked with and for. Just one example, we observed the hostess/bus girl working diligently with every customer as well as clearing the tables and not just wiping the tables off, but the detail involved. From corner to corner of that table, she cleaned!! Our beverages were always fresh and Quality!! Our plates from appetizer to entrée were served timely, hot, and absolutely delicious…every bite! The atmosphere was clean and ambience, relaxing. Already looking forward to returning. This is a gem of a restaurant that you do not want...
