I'm 17 and I went here with my friend during All West in February. This was my second visit here. My first visit, we ordered a pizza to go, which they forgot about and made us wait nearly 45 minutes for us to get, while we watched other older customers getting their food within 10 minutes of their ordering. When we finally got our pizza it was good, although it was nothing that Little Caesar's couldn't do. Our second visit was a terrible experience. We ate inside. The same thing happened our second visit, though. We were promptly seated and a server quickly took our drink order. Shortly after, though, a party of about 15 came in and he dropped us. It took a new server about 10 minutes to bring us our drinks and get our order. After that, I waited almost 20 minutes to get my salad (which was predominantly extremely wilted lettuce and gross dressing) and another 20 to get a slice of pizza that was so overly greasy that I couldn't pick it up to eat it. I didn't finish either, and I left sick to my stomach. I saw other customers ordering, getting their meals, paying and leaving in the time span that it took for me to get my full order of -- literally -- water, a side salad, and a slice of cheese pizza. This second trip was a huge disappointment and I will not be returning here again, since it was obvious they only cared about getting tips and didn't care about treating their customers well. I'd like to conclude that I'm a server, so I still left a 20% tip since I know the struggles the server may have been going through with so many customers, but I found it a waste of my time to sit at a restaurant that couldn't complete an order for a table of two before an order for a table of six (which came in 15 minutes after we did). Don't waste your time and money at a restaurant that can't treat their customers well. Also, we got there when there were only 3 other tables--around 4:00. There was no valid reason for why the service we received was so poor. The hostess also was being extremely rude to a few customers who asked her if they could change tables, and she said "Fine, you might as well go seat yourself." before turning around...
Read moreThe food is delicious but the waitress and manager were horrible! The night before we went to a Redbirds baseball game and the promotion was buy an Aldo’s specialty ticket, get a mug for unlimited drinks at the game and a voucher for a free slice and a soda at either Aldo’s location for a future visit. We enjoyed the game and the mug for refills and (because the voucher expired a week later) we decided to go to this location the next day to redeem our vouchers. We get here, get seated, and the waitress sees our vouchers and says “oooo, I think that you have to have the mug to use that coupon.” Really?!? So I have her look at the voucher and nowhere does it say that you have to have the mug (only that you have to have the mug to receive free refills at the baseball game). She acknowledges that it doesn’t specify that but then says that she will have to check with her manager. After a few minutes she’s comes back out and says that the manager confirmed that we cannot use the voucher without having the mug with us even though the voucher doesn’t say so. Although I wasn’t very happy about it we still decide to stay to eat because we are regulars at the other location in town and it is my favorite pizza place (we even went there for my birthday a couple of years ago). When they bring out our order the got two of the three slices that we ordered wrong (we ordered a pepperoni, a vodka, and a sausage and she brought out a pepperoni, and two regular cheese). She took them back to correct her error (with attitude) and then while we sat and ate our dinner she didn’t refill any of our drinks even once. We love the location on Cooper and it is wet sad and disappointing to me that the downtown location would be run this poorly and not honor a promotion like this. We will not be coming back to this location again and it will probably even be a while before we return to the other...
Read moreI would have only given a one star rating but the waitress tried to make up for their mistake. I will get to that in a minute. We came in from out of town to visit family and they said we must go here. As soon as we sat down and placed our drink orders, which was the 1st mistake because they only have 1 diet soda To choose from, our family who lived in town immediately placed their order for an entire large pie. 5 minutes later we placed our order for a large pie. When their pie arrived we had already finished our appetizers. We assumed ours would be along shortly since we only ordered it 5 minutes later. 25 minutes later when they were almost done Eating, I asked our waitress where the heck our pie was! She assured me it would be out any minute. Directly after that, here comes the waitress with our pie along with another 1. They delivered it to the table setting next to us. These people arrived after we were already eating our appetizers! I stopped her and said that is my pie! Why did they get their entire order together when they came in after us and I'm still sitting here waiting on mine while 1/2 of our party is already done eating? She assured me it was on its way out. It arrive 10 minutes later. As you can see in the picture, half of our party had already devoured their entire pie before ours ever arrived. The waitress tried to make up for it because she could see I was steaming mad. She gave us a complimentary Order of cannoli... Which only served four and there were 6 in our party. Nice try! We told her we were actually 2 separate parties with 2 separate bills. Yet we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity for a party of 6 when we were actually 2 parties of 3. The food was good. Not great, but good. The atmosphere was adequate at best. The next time I come to town I plan to ask my family to take me to the other pizza place they were...
