This place is very unprofessional and also has a staff of racism people especially the manager. March.12, 2024 was my son 18th birthday. I’m currently on bed rest due to me just having surgery. I called and arranged for him and about fifteen of his family&friends to eat there. The lady whom I spoke on the phone with four days before his special day told me that they could accommodate a large party, she stated once it got pass 20 people everyone would have to be on one check which I said was fine. She said for my son to arrive early to get tables. We called back the day before and the day of to continue confirming. He did exactly what he was told he arrived @6p.m he ordered food in all while waiting for his guest. The server was Ok with the party size once they arrived. The manager came in told them that they had to be seated outside which some of the young ladies had on skirts in it was very chilly they wanted to stay on the inside. Once back on the inside the manager then told the server they had to be on one ticket. However it wasn’t twenty of them in they originally stated after it was twenty people they would have to go on one tab. My sister was dropping my niece off and before my niece could get out the truck another employee came out yelling she can’t park there. She told him she was dropping her daughter off he said he didn’t care she had to move. My sister told them that they were being very rude and they were only operating that way due to it being a group of young black kids. The manager then called the police my sister is a Director at Lebonhuer so she always handles herself professionally&respectfully as the same that we have done with our children to always be respectful. The manager said for everyone to leave it’s too many anyway. My son came home so sad. He said mother we didn’t even do anything. My sister has already called corporate this will not be the last time they will hear from us. I hate to add racism in it because my best friend is white and we don’t see color we see what’s in the heart but this situation most definitely was handled on a racial level. Had it been a group of white kids it wouldn’t of...
Read moreI am not a fan of leaving reviews and I manage a restaurant myself so I don’t like leaving negative feedback. However, I had such a bad experience on Wednesday October 25th, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Slider Inn is my favorite spot in Memphis and now that I do not live there I like to bring my friends to check it out because service is usually good and the food is always on point. On Wednesday we arrived around 6:30 p.m. and it was busy. The issue was the restaurant was clearly understaffed! Our server/bartender had a full bar and every table in her section was full. The issue I found was that she was walking as if she did not care about the quality of service she was giving. Without a sense of urgency we watched her go to her other tables and drop menus at new tables and go back to other tables. We waited about 15 minutes before she returned to our table for drink orders, luckily she asked if we were ready for food. From that time on she never returned to the table and a table next to us had to approach her for refills. As a former server/bartender if I had been that busy you would have seen me running to take care of my tables. After about thirty minutes of waiting for food we notice that a 20% gratuity is out on all checks. I understand this practice late into the evening, but all day is ridiculous and it lead to us having subpar service. The only help I witnessed was people running food for her. If a manager was there I didn’t see them while the restaurant filled up and our server was clearly struggling because we watched people leave instead of continue to watch the game. Then the food came out and some of our food was cold, but we had to eat and get out of there. We didn’t have time to try to complain and had to pay before all the food arrived. My friends sliders came out as we were getting up to leave. I was so disappointed because I have never had service like that and we all work in restaurants and understand, but the fact that our server had no sense of urgency and I witnessed no help from management lead to a terrible experience and I know my friends...
Read moreI’ve been to the original Slider Inn in Midtown before, but had never checked out this location—so one weekday evening, we finally decided to go for a casual dinner.
Parking was unexpectedly easy—we snagged a spot right in front of the restaurant. That said, I can imagine it might be more of a hunt on busy weekends.
The space itself has a cool loft-meets-industrial vibe with modern touches and a bar-style layout. Not overly crowded that night, but still had a nice, easygoing energy.
We skipped the drinks and appetizers—though it’s clearly a go-to spot for cocktails, especially on livelier nights. Since it was midweek, we kept things simple and dove straight into the sliders.
My husband ordered the meatball slider with a side of trendy nacho-style fries—definitely a hit on their menu and pretty satisfying overall. I went for the mix-and-match trio: Nashville hot chicken, grilled chicken with avocado, and a ribeye slider done medium rare with a charred finish.
Each had its own personality. The ribeye was hands down my favorite—tender, juicy, and flavorful. The Nashville hot chicken is a classic, always a safe bet, though not particularly standout this time. Fries on the side were standard but satisfying.
We ended the meal with their bread pudding. It was… fine. Nothing memorable, but a nice sweet note to wrap things up.
Overall, a chill midweek dinner spot with good vibes and solid slider options. Prices felt a bit on the higher side for what you get, but if you’re craving variety and a casual night out, it’s...
