Ok so my wife and I have been going here since it opened. Tonight was our best experience yet after over 5 years. Daniel the head chef was fantastic. Hayden and Sherry (sorry if misspelled name) all did a great job. Attentive but not intrusive. Kept my plate filled with lamb and steaks for almost two hours. Great conversation. Did not feel rushed at all. Sherry was not even our waitress but she was doing so much and must of refilled my drink at least four times. She never stopped working.
Now the food was all good except the dessert normally the best part. It was horrible. To me with the juices mixed it reminded me of fruit sitting in cheap rum. My wife tasted and said “salts on it, a lot of salt”. Let them know and they fixed it. No complaining or saying no it’s fine like some places. They said sorry and Daniel brought out a fresh one cut me the whole outside, then asked if I wouldn’t mind checking to make sure this one is good. It was. Not in an accusation but in a I’m going to make sure this is right for you type of way.
I told him what Chick-Fil-A service is to McDonald’s this restaurant was to Texas de Brazil. A place I normally favor. Those three did such a great job there tonight. I made sure to have my wife remember their name so I could call them out on here for the Owner. Those are the type of people you want representing your business especially in this time with everyone eating out less.
This was a random date night out with my gorgeous 8th month pregnant wife. Our other three were at home with a sitter. Go any day of the week except Tuesday ;). We were there for about two hours taking up a big table with my wife only doing salad bar and me doing endless endless endless steaks and Lamb. No rush at all just kept asking what we wanted. Gave me a break while I went through all the steak piled up. Anyway this has gone on long enough. This was a five star experience even with messed up pineapple (they did fix it). I have places that say they are five stars like fantastic Sams says they are a five star place. That is just untrue. This was way more enjoyable, filling, and friendly than any experience we have had at Flight or...
Read moreThis was my family and I's first visit here. The service was great. The people are overall very sweet and attentive. We were seated the second we arrived (no reservation). The salad bar has a small selection. That is to say that there are no tomatoes or cucumbers which seems like such basic salad ingredients that it seemed silly for it to be called a salad bar. A more accurate description would be a small table with 2 large dishes filled with salad leaves, some dressings, and a few salad odds and ends. It is by no means a salad bar. I've seen way more salad stuff at Incredible Pizza. The sides/appetizers were next. Sweet cinnamony yellow rice is just not a good side with meat. It simply does not taste good. All of the sides/appetizers were room temp or cold. There was little to no seasoning on half of it. The corn was just boiled corn on the cob that was sat in a dish and left out to get cold. Now, the restaurant opens at 5pm. We got there at 5:10pm. How was everything already cold? It was either not prepared fresh (meaning it had come out of a fridge) or they just barely heat the food up. That being said, the corn on the cob was fine. The broccoli and zucchini was fine. The brussel sprouts and potatoes were acceptable. $50 for cold sides seems wildly unfair. Calling some folding tables with cold sides on them and a poorly stocked salad bar an appetizer/side dish/salad bar is wildly untrue. The meat was all good. The pineapple was good. Texas de Brazil is just better. This place has heart, though, and I appreciate how hard they all were working. Really lovely people. I just can't justify the cost. I think that they should improve their sides and salad bar or charge less money. It is a small place, but it is clean and has charm. Parking is tight, and I wouldn't want to be there when they get busy. The meat was good and they do keep bringing it and making sure you are...

On a guys' trips in September we made the drive over to Tannoor Grill. We had a couple birthdays among us so churrasco for everyone was our splurge. It had been a long day for everyone and a rough day for some. What started as a mix of skepticism and going-through-the-motions gave way to cheerful lively conversations with pauses to savor the meal and contemplate another serving. The warm, attentive hospitality and bountiful variety of expertly-cooked meats simply restored our spirits and completely changed our vibe. It was a remarkable transformation.
A Mediterranean restaurant doing Brazilian churrasco seems like a red flag at first glance. You'll need to push past that and see the bigger picture. Churrasco at the end of the day is grilled meat carved from a spit. The traditions and cuisines of one can carry over to the other. This is clearly a family-owned place that really cares about what they're doing. Chicken is never dry and always well-seasoned. Steak and lamb are cooked Goldilocks-style and fatty enough to feel luxurious rather than greasy. I don't recall there being any pork, but I could be wrong.
Beyond the carnivorous, being a Mediterranean restaurant has an added benefit: a way better salad and app bar. You can easily build yourself a full mezze plate along with grilled veggies, dolmeh, soup, breads, rice, etc. The grilled cinnamon-crusted pineapple at the end of the meal is a nice digestif and reminds you why "apple" is in the name.
The food isn't always fast, but it is always rewarding. Definitely worth the drive...
