Tommy's Burger California Style — Restaurant in Memphis

The tea tasted like they have never cleaned to spigot, so definitely don't order that. The burgers seemed no different than Sonic burgers with a higher price. It was nothing special at all. The prices actually made no sense. For the sandwiches, a combo included a drink and fries. Yet, somehow, the combo cost ranged anywhere from $5-$8 more than the sandwich by itself... for the same drink and fry add on. I can understand the sandwiches being priced differently, but not the combo add on. It might take a second to figure that out since the menu is all over the place and hard to pay attention to what is where. Our server was pretty bad. She had no people skills and dropped the check off with the food. Then she came back while we were eating and said she forgot to ask us if we want dessert. When we sat down, the table still had crumbs and liquid on it. I used a napkin to clean the table and put it at the edge of the table. I have been to tommy's burger california style 3x & I don't recommend this place after the 2nd & 3rd experience as the 1st experience I will say it was very good, meat was thick & cooked like I liked it & lots of fries! I felt very full & felt like I got money's worth but the 2nd & 3rd time I again called in the orders & the 2nd time our burgers were cooked opposite that we wanted them but had right toppings on them. I called to let them know & they said they would replace our burgers so we thought we would try again tonight! Both burgers were very thin & cooked well done when 1 was to b medium well & the 1 that was cooked wrong also didn't have all the toppings she wanted as in tomatoe & had mayo that she didn't want. I repeated the order about 4x when on phone ordering & even went over it when I went to get them! I definitely wouldn't recommend eating there unless u plan on going inside to dine!!! Sit right back and let ole Big Herb tell you about this little oasis! This place came recommended by a friend who calls himself The HMIC. The HMIC is a very pick fella. He knows the top spots. He's Mexican, so I knew when he liked their Mexican options, I had something to look forward to. So lunch time pops off and me and the mistress hop in the pimp wagon and begin our journey across town. We pull in and it's a cute little joint with a small parking lot. We both slide up in here like we own the place. We are greeted by a friendly face. We sit down and she brings us menus. Coke products were from a can. This is fine but I will never understand why we are in the south and so many restaurants have Pepsi products on tap. Mistake, but whatever. We place our order. I get the #2 Pastrami burger and she gets a double cheese burger. Everything was excellent. Burger was fresh and tasty. It was a great experience and we will return here for sure to try other things....
