Caffe Mercato — Restaurant in Menifee

This is my second time coming to this Caffe. The first time I went I had a Oaxaca Latte and it was delicious. I came back excited to try a Pumpkin Spice Latte and it was quite the opposite. It tasted like they just dumped a bunch clove seasoning in it.

Also, feed back for the owner. When doing meetings/reviews with your employees whether they are good employee or not. Give them privacy for those reviews. There was a man giving a review in the cafe next to me and around a handful of people and I know for a fact there was at least one other person that heard you tell that employee how poorly she was performing. I heard him and another woman say she’s just there to pick up her check before the review. Yet, there was 3 employees sitting outside the caffe gossiping at a table outside privately. What a gem this place is! Menifee really needed a place like this. It’s cozy, pretty nice; the service is very friendly and efficient; but the food and coffee… oh my gosh - this is where we move from great to outstanding. The breakfast sandwiches are among the best I’ve ever had. You can go to some bourgeois, hipster place and spend a ludicrous amount of money, and you may get something as good… or not. Their breakfast sandwich comes with a drink and it’s about 12 bucks. The bacon sandwich is amazing. Rather than the usual strips of bacon, it’s crumbled, really high quality little chunks, like you might get on a salad at a fancy Italian restaurant. I made noises eating this that I had to stop - sounded inappropriate. Coffee drinks are expertly crafted with very good beans - not a hint of rancidity. I don’t think I’ve ever walked into a place and instantly fallen in love with every part of the experience like I did here. 😍

I haven’t even tried their pastries or food yet (though I have a feeling they won’t disappoint 👀), but I did get their Pistachio and Horchata latte… and WOW. This might be the best coffee I’ve ever had. 🌿☕️✨

It actually tastes like real, bold coffee—with the perfect balance of flavor. Not overly sweet, not artificial. Just rich, smooth, and downright delicious. I’m obsessed. 🥹

The vibe? Immaculate. Cozy, authentic, and full of character. Even the way they give you your order number is adorable, each number is a little dog with a name. 🐶💛 I’m not kidding.
