BEWARE: as of March 15, 2025 THIS LOCATION IS SCAMMING YOU.
The woman taking my order gave my total (29.99 for the crazy potato and 3 taco plate) and told me to pull forward. When i got to the window she held the card reader out but didnt say a word. Instinctively, i lay my card on the card reader but i see it says $30.59. When i asked why i had a different total she said "Yeah we're charging extra because we're not making enough. We had a whole meeting about it."
Now that, had me laughing because when she took my order i asked to substitue my beans(2.99) and rice(2.99) for chips and salsa(2.99) which wouldve saved them money but she said "if i substitute it i will have to charge you an extra $2."
That's twice theyve tried to snake money from me! I get its not a lot of money but the dishonesty and not being forthcoming with the upcharge is a straight up scam! This is ridiculous and feels illegal! She never told me about the upcharge, i had to prompt her! I hope they get reported for this!
EDIT: it is March 16, 2025 and the owner has replied. Please notice how he disregarded the fact that theyre scamming with the upcharge. The upcharge they dont tell you about. The 2% upcharge because "theyre not...
Read moreWe enjoyed our dinner very much! The store is clean, with lots of room between tables; people with strollers, walkers and wheelchairs can easily move around.
One of us had a Birria Bowl, which had flavorful spices and tender shredded beef in sauce. Not too spicy, but you can punch it up to your taste with choices from the salsa bar. The Burria Bowl was a big serving and half of it went home with us. The other person had a burrito and did not leave even ONE bite to take home! We are impressed with the extensive salsa bar, with freshly-made guac, sauces and pico, as well as sliced radishes and cukes. They roast the tomatoes that go into the salsas right in the store.
More impressive is the obvious dedication to quality service and a well-trained staff. Look at these reviews. I've rarely seen any other business respond to the comments. One suggestion I would give is to make a cheat sheet with more detailed description of the selections before the winter visitors get here. (I am not kidding, I have been stopped in the grocery store before by someone asking what there is to do with a tortilla!)
Best of luck in the new location. We will be back to try...
Read moreI went here for drive-thru, it was raining, so it was probably hard for the person working to hear me but she didn't quite understand the first time, that's okay. I ordered two bean and cheese burritos, they were delicious after-the-fact.
However, my biggest issue is that she never said what my total was, she just presented the thing to pay, which I did with a card, and she never gave me a receipt either. That's a little scary, can imagine some scenarios where I get charged the wrong amount and I have no recourse to back-up my claims other than a dashcam I suppose (with audio).
Normally most places either tell you the price, or put the receipt in the bag, neither was provided. I take some responsibility for not being aware of this fact in-the-moment, it was never presented and I was confused once I got home. Now I have to check my card online and hope that they charged me correctly, that's a little anxiety inducing for the modern age. They didn't mention pricing at any point, not in the intercom, not at the window, and there was no...
