We've been here for 3 days now, waiting on a load in St George, for Tuesday! Very little money til we get the load. So after sleeping in our van for 3 nights, because they wanted over $100.00 for a room! We decide to wait til Monday when the room rates went down to $24 online! Saving up our scraps, we manage to get the money for a buffet. It was crazy in there! Waited a very long time just to be seated. Not there fault! Very, very busy. But there was an elderly man who couldn't walk very well. That's what irratated me. They made him stand forever out in the casino, then inside the buffet as well. We were chatting with the little gal taking money at the podium. She seemed very very tired, and distant from the conversation. But perked up after talking with us. The older lady took our money after the hostesses got done trying to discuss the rules of seating. I guess they can't seat until silver is put out and that wasn't happening. The older lady was very professional. She knows her job! I had to pay $10 cash the rest card. She did that with no problem. But was short, and kind of snappy! High Pressure Job! $45.00 plus four 3 people! It cost more than our room! Service was Great after we were seated. Just waited long time for drinks, but that waitress was slammed! She made up for the time we waited. She deserves a day off with pay! The busers were really working hard. And I feel for the dishwashers. They must be good! Never ran out of silverware, plates, etc.. The food was kept up with! Stocked and Clean around serving dishes. Great Job Team! As for the food: Good Food: Prime Rib was Awesome! Salad Bar fresh and nice selection, pork ribs great! Fruit was fresh! Sausage was good. Pot Roast was tender.
Bad Food: Chicken awful! Dry, over cooked, couldn't even eat it! Scalloped Potatoes raw crunchy! Fish was horrible! Tasted like mud! Even lemon didn't help! Lentil Soup was like paste. Thick like pea soup, no flavor at all.
Desserts: Very Low Class! Brownies burnt, had to add ice cream to soften brownies. The pies well, small pieces, very poor presentation, not cold, not hot. Crust soggy. Cookies hard and tasteless.

Read moreIt has been a couple years since the last time I ate here , but came by on Wednesday after hiking Valley of Fire. The last time I came here they had Bbq and Fried Chicken , so I was hoping for the same. It was Home Style Cooking Night and it was like $16.00 , but I used my points and a $5 Food Voucher I had. I was sat down immediately and the restaurant was about half full.
They took my drink order before I even sat down. I went up to the buffet and it was less choices than the last time I came. The only bbq they had was strips of tri tip in bbq sauce and I got 2 small pieces to try and I didn't care for them. They did have the Fried Chicken , so I got a big breast and it was so good and juicy and the breading was perfect. Mashed Potatoes with Turkey Gravy was spot on , they also had brown gravy. I was surprised there was no corn on the cob like last time. Chicken Cordon Bleu which I love was just okay , and a big Swedish Meatball that was just okay also.
For desert I got the Hot Cherry Cobbler which was very good , a small taster of Fruit Cobbler which was like Pineapple and Apple maybe I didn't really like it I would have rathe had Peach Cobbler , and a small taster of Bread Pudding which was okay. They had Cookies , Pies , Cakes , and a Ice Cream machine also. They were good about coming by and giving me a refill of my Arnold Palmer also. They have a Steak Night , Seafood Night , and a Prime Rib and Crab Leg Night also. On the Carving Station they only had Turkey on my night.
I would recommend coming here since the price is right and the food is decent. I wish they would have had the bbq like last time. The Pork Ribs were really good. I definitely recommend the Fried Chicken here ,...
Read moreThe food here is actually pretty decent. The problem is the attitudes. I've never seen a buffet where if it gets to a certain time doesn't matter if you're done eating they'll kick you right out. I understand they have to clean up and change out some of the food between brunch and dinner. Seems like they could give you an extra 5 or 10 minutes to finish what's on your plate instead of rushing you and throwing it out. Considering there's a good hour, hour and a half between the 2. Also, were very adamant about keeping our small service dog under the table in his closed bag,not giving him anything. Maybe should have been watching the hygiene around the food area more. A little girl was up by herself numerous times. Filled a cup with whipped cream then stuck the serving spoon in her mouth to lick it off. Then put the spoon back in the whipped cream bowl. Yikes!!! Did this a couple times because she saw us watching her and thought she was funny. Which it was a little but not if i didn't know and used the spoon. Ew. Was also grabbing strawberries and pieces of honeydew out of the bowl with her hands, looking at them then putting them back. I told one of the ladies who was changing out salad items and who was literally 5 ft from this but didn't notice about the whipped cream spoon. She acknowledged me but waited another 10 minutes while 3 different people attempted to get whipped cream until I told them not to. Then she finally changed it out. I guess it didn't seem very important to her??? I don't know, that seems alot more unsanitary than my 14lb dog in a closed bag under the table that you can't even see....
