My wife and I ate at the Thai House last night we had a very good experience. I ordered eggplant stir-fry, and my wife ordered green curry. We found the food to be average, but the service was wonderful.
We had to wait about 20 minutes since the restaurant was full, and we enjoyed talking with the older man who was seating people and cleaning up, and he was very polite. Immediately in line before us, was a family that had to be split up between two adjacent tables when they were seated, and one of their little boys was upset being separated from his parents. The waitress got down at his level and explained to him that he could sit with his siblings and they would all be able to watch TV while they're waiting for their food. She was very nice to him. He did not agree and was going to sit with his parents at their table, but after a couple of minutes, he decided to sit with his siblings. I am sure his behavior had a lot to do with how kind the waitress was to him.
We had the same waitress and she was great. I think the spiciness of our food got mixed up and my wife got spicier food than me. When the waitress was told, she immediately was going to take the food back and resolve the spiciness, but my wife said that she didn't need to do that some extra rice would help her deal with the heat but we would prefer not to pay for the extra rice. The waitress explained that the charge on the menu for extra rice was only for takeout, and there is no charge when dining in for extra rice. She did not take back the food back because my wife asked her not to, but the waitress then brought extra rice and a big cup of coconut milk that she explained would help with the heat. My wife used the coconut milk and found that it cooled the spiciness down.
Later, the cook came out and asked everybody how they were doing and was very sociable.
We loved this restaurant primarily for the service on a busy Monday night, though we liked...
Read moreWe got take out on a Monday night and it was very quick and convenient for our location. The crab rangoons and Thai tea were good and I liked my green curry (although it was quite watery, more like a soup) but some points to consider when ordering: sweet and sour chicken is mostly vegetables (large chunks of tomatoes which made it seem acidic) and has a thin and more sour flavor sauce The chicken was good but not much chicken. The garlic stir fry has few vegetables and the garlic sauce is thin and less garlic and more of something else we couldn’t identify. It was more like a soup than stir fry, very wet (leaked out of container in bags). We got a side of fried rice versus the white for an up charge and it was good. Based on other reviews, we should have ordered the orange chicken 😊 I would recommend the restaurant describe the entrees more detailed, like what’s all in it for...
Read moreThe lady on I placed my order with on the phone was seriously so nice and said she would give me extra spice separately in case I wanted to add some to my food. She also said it would be done quickly so I could leave right then to get it. The waitress that rang me up was so personable and nice and got me taken care of quickly. Take out service was impeccable. As far as food goes, I moved here from Salt Lake City & when I go to Thai places I always get spicy Thai fried rice with chicken. I was so excited to see a place in Mesquite that had it the food itself hit the spot but the veggies are not as fresh as the ones I’ve been to in Salt Lake City. However the flavors were spot on. The chicken was cut just right and tasted phenomenal. The rice was fully & delicious and packed so much flavor. The price was very reasonable, especially compared to salt lake. I will definitely be...
