I purchased tickets with my friends and we came here on a Sunday afternoon for a 2pm classical music concert. After we came in, the manager stopped us inside the venue and informed us that children under the age of 8 are not allowed and ,my son would not be permitted to enter the performance. As we were speaking, other children clearly younger than 8 were coming in to see the performance with no issues. There is discrimination by the management and it’s shocking to me that they would restrict classical music performance to a certain age for a matinee performance. Classical music should be for everyone, I’ve never had this issue at the Arsht Center for Performing Arts or any other venue in Miami. We go together to ballet, opera, and other music performances and this is the first time I received such poor treatment. The manager did offer to refund my tickets but honestly after inviting my friends and planning my day around this performance only to be turned away this is negligible. I’m disappointed in this establishment and will not recommend anyone to come here as they have poor policies and poorer customer service. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS VENUE and would offer other options much...

The orchestra and the venue are great. This complaint is about the box office staff.

I have been attending concerts at New World for about 20 years. Every year I drop by to get the free xmas concert tickets for Miami Beach residents.

Today, I called the center in the afternoon and the lady told me to drop by the box office at 6:30pm that they would have my tickets there.

I braved the rain and drove 20 minutes only to be rebuked by the box office staff. They said they were too overwhelmed at the moment with tonight's concert and that I should drop by intermission.

I said: are you kidding? there is nobody here (this being 1 hour before tonight's show and pouring).

Response: come during intermission.

Me: you are really going to make me come back again?

Him: you can also come M-F, 9 to 5pm.

There were 3 guys at the box office and zero customers at that moment.

I have always been treated kindly by the NWC staff until tonight.

I don't understand what was up with these 3 men manning the box office tonight, November 20th, that they could not take 2 minutes of their time to print some tickets for a long standing customer of...

i love to come here to watch movies on the wall on wensdays. It has that special atmosphere. If you want to have a comfortable evening take a beach chair with you, cause if thats a blanket you gonna freeze your butt cause its not sunny no more. Dont sit on the ground especially if you re a girl!! Grab your home made popcord, soda, blanket to cover yourself while sitting on a chair and enjoy. Sometimes annoying loud homeless or just drunks appear who might be funny/annoying and almost laying in your feet. But overall thats a great option for wensday evening. THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH...

I love all the musical performances; however last night I went to see Herman Cornejo performing The last of Nijinsky: Anima Animal and it reminded me of Dante's Inferno with AI music sounding like the end of humanity. I should have known better and checked out the menu. They had a singular ballet team in the second act that way to little and to late to redeem the cost of admission.

From contemporary concert music to classical this place is an extraordinary experience. The modern architecture helps to enjoy a multimedia show where protections flow with the crisp and reverb-free sound. The stage adapts to the number of young talented musicians. Worth the moments.
