This is an excellent restaurant! The General Manager, August is an upstanding young man that keeps the place running smoothly, it's very clean, and you can tell how kind he is to his employees. The coffee is really good and the fresh orange juice is a great way to start the day. The pizzas are substantial while not being too heavy. One person can eat a whole pizza if very hungry or it can easily feed two. The servers are kind and skilled. The place is very very clean. You can order via online app, uber eats, over the phone, or on site of course. There are sofas, soft chairs, outdoor seating overlooking the always exciting Washington Ave. Be sure to tip the workers at the counter as unlike restaurants where there is full table service, tips are NOT included. The young people paying the high rents of Miami Beach rely on the generosity of tips to make a living.
A wonderful and simple place that makes everything it can from scratch including the beignets that go so well with all the great coffee! All very affordable...
Read morePrice is way more than it should be, $4 dollars for a small refillable cup for Soda. We decided to go with the motzerrela balls. They took two very small motzerrela balls tore it apart and placed around the pizza. There was literally no cheese on the pizza so we asked for a little more and they said extra was $2. So two more balls were torn into pieces and still that did not come close to having enough cheese. So even with extra cheese the whole pizza was sauce. I try hard to not complain about places cause I know that it's very difficult these days, but this was ridiculous. The sauce tasted like Rague with no flavor and that was really all we could taste. So overall a bland pizza. I will say, the crust was decent, but we had to pay extra for the better crust, lol, of course. So overall it costed over $21 for a very bland small to medium size pizza with a drink. Really...
Read moreSomething changed recently at PPole that makes it now one of my favorite Miami & Miami Beach restaurants: the calm, relaxing cafe music. They used to play typical South Beach “crap” music. The past three times I’ve come, I’m actually able to think. I bring books now and study here. And read. And do work. And well, to feel smart. I’m from NY where studious cafes are ubiquitous. In Miami, the dumb factor is multiplied by 100. Finding this yummy pizza place with lovely staff and relaxing music? A rare find in South Beach. One staff member said that they still play the “crap music” (my term) at night. I hope they resist the urge to appeal to the less sophisticated people. Keep the music like this and you’ll attract a smarter crowd and… you’ll still attract the less sophisticated. Thanks PPole for giving me a place to feel smart again...
