My brother and I stopped by on Tuesday, May 14 in the afternoon as we were wandering in Wynwood. The outdoor decor is fantastic, which is what attracted us to the place as we walked by. The Peruvian food from the mobile yellow truck parked on the property and served by the restaurant was great, and so was the beer. Awesome ambiance and atmosphere. We just hated the service from our female server with long, dirty-blond hair. Really unfriendly person with a bad attitude. When she showed up at our table and I asked "Can we place our order?", her response was "Yeah, that's why I am here..." with a facial expression and body language to match, letting us know how unhappy she was that she had to serve us. The entire encounter was poor, but I guess two middle-age white guys who are tourists do not deserve a friendly smile and nice service at this place. No tip for her of course. Then I had to go in and get the receipt for my payment because they do not have the option to print it there on the spot, and of course she would never bring the receipt out. I also spoke to the bartender who gave me a receipt, how unhappy I had been with the service, and why I did not give a tip. The server takes credit cards up front before taking your order, and she runs an authorization on the credit card for your order before...
Read moreI loved the place but the customer service of one of the employee's(bartender) named Gus was horrible. As a normal person I asked another employee to see if i could use some jenga blocks that were on the side of the bar to play with, he advised me that it wasnt a problem and i could just grab them. There i go grabbing the jenga blocks that were in actuality decorative blocks and this bartender "Gus" starts screaming at me in fromt of other people saying that i cannot touch them and to quickly put them back that they could break. I first thought why couldnt he approach me personally and tell me the exact same thing with a normal voice tone. But no he had to scream over the bar and other individuals when he wasnt even on the clock and embarrase me like if i was drunk and didnt know what i was doing. After the fact i felt so bad that i left early and didnt even finish my first and only beer. The funny part is that i work in customer service and work with people all day/everyday and even if its the customers fault i would NEVER scream at them or give them the fault.. Hopefully whoever manages this company looks at this and trains their employees a...
Read moreAn oasis in the Wynwood neighborhood!!! If you’re in the area chances are you’ve been walking under the sun, even if for a little while. And although there are several watering holes in the area -even with a lot of construction going on, I bet few, if any, are as refreshing, satisfying, and invigorating as Veza Sur Brewing Co; especially if you’re a beer lover. This place boasts a wide range of home-brewed beers, including seasonal ones and beer-based cocktails, which are beyond refreshing. Just having so many options from where to choose, makes a beer enthusiast happy!!! If you’re new to this place have a sampler and decide what beer you’re going for, don’t forget to listen to your server’s advice!!! And though you might not be here for the food, bites are agreeable, tasty, well portioned, and reasonably priced. So, all in all, this brewery is definitely a worthwhile pit stop for knocking back a few cold ones and recharging batteries for moving on with your...
