Stubborn Hair — Local services in Miami

I was looking for a new hair stylist for months- I moved to Miami two years ago and previously had the same hair dresser for 7 years. I tried out a couple of salons in the area and all were fine but didn’t really feel like I found my ‘person’. I found Stubborn Hair online and scheduled a consultation. For reference I have dark natural hair but i love having blond ish hair (as blond as Asian hair could be). First, the space is gorgeous. It’s a loft space with lots of natural light. From the moment I met Allex - he was great. He asked me lots of questions of what I wanted, what my goal was, if I had a reference point, what my previous hair dresser did etc. Everything about the consult was a collaboration. I loved that he was willing to ask questions and ask what I wanted before letting me know what we should do. I say we- because truly was our decision on what we did. He laid out the plan of what we would do, how long it would take and how much it would cost.

I made an appmt for the following Sunday (and yes ladies - they are open on Sundays!) Allex did not disappoint- the color of my hair came out amazing, my haircut looks so fresh - and the whole time, he kept me informed of what he was doing and what was coming up next.

Finally after 15 years of living in Miami I found somebody who actually knows how to do my hair right! I’m blonde and I have super fine Eastern European hair. No one in Miami seemed to understand how to cut or color it perfectly except Eddie! I understand my hair is a bit challenging especially for stylists in Miami used to the typical Latin American hair but it’s never been a challenge for Eddie. If he can do MY hair beautifully he can do anyone’s hair beautifully. Eddie is truly exceptional in his field of work. I want to say he’s incredibly talented because he is however it’s more than that. He’s truly a hair genius. It’s in his blood and he was absolutely born to do this work. He does it all.. men’s hair, women’s hair, color, cut, & extensions and it seems effortless and second nature to him. Eddie is a “super creative.” He’s got an eye for beauty and what really works. He’s an artist. You not only can see it on his Instagram page but you can see it in the cool decor of his salon as he did it himself. Vision, execution, and all! He and Ksenia make a great team. They’re always on point, kind, professional & fun to talk to and hang out with while I’m getting my hair done. They were even kind enough to give me a ride home after my appointment last time I was there. I hope they love me as much as I love them because I’m never going anywhere else. You will NEVER be disappointed coming here. Giving you my most honest review - 1. Eyad runs TOP-NOTCH service and has one of the most beautiful spaces (high rise, best view of Miami wynwood/downtown AND balcony where you can sit outside when you’re waiting for color/highlights to work their magic). 2. He gave me the best haircut that my friends will validate how much I get stopped asking who does my hair?! I don’t change it now bc I get guys and girls stopping me … one led to even a short term relationship when the guy’s first line to me was “I really like your hair.” 3. ATTN blondes - he will do it perfect. He knows this as I was upfront and said for one quarter I needed to get my hair done elsewhere to save a bit $, NEVER will I do that again bc I hated who did my hair and I was the prodigal child that came back and said I can’t ever leave him. He fixed it and made it better than before. 4. You pay exactly for his talent. His staff too are great / he was busy one time and I NEEDED a touch up before an event and availability I had to go with another artist in his salon. He instructed him precisely how I have my hair colored and I could tell at the time I arrived for that appointment, he was well prepared and I was so pleased. 5. Are you still reading?
