My mom is in town and was jonesing for a good bagel. I read the good reviews for El Bagel and decided to give it a try. The locale itself is very small. They have a counter to order from and counter against the window with 3-4 stools to sit and dine. They also seem to have some basic seating outside (think wooden boxes/benches and a couple of umbrellas). We weren’t able to sit outside because it was pouring but I’m sure on a sunny day it would have been suitable seating to enjoy a meal. They have tap water outside served in a cooler which is also a very nice touch given the weather here. They sell drip coffee which wasn’t my favorite and of course bagels and bagel sandwiches. I really enjoyed the BLT. I was able to substitute the (B)acon for egg which was nice. The sandwich was large and the actual bagel was really good. My mom also agreed that they serve good...

$20 for a triple cream cheese bagel. That’s what I got today when I asked for a doble nova lox salmón bagel. Way too much cream cheese that kills the small amount of salmon that o received (it was just a regular portion of salmon). I can buy 6 bagels 1 pack of cream cheese and 1 pack of imported smoked salmon at any Publix for less than $20 and it will come with DOBLE SALMON for sure AND also I won’t have to wait 15 minutes under the sun at 90 degrees for a bagel. Sorry guys but you need to apply way too much control on what you give to your clients. Einstein Bros. are still a much better place to...

I went to El Bagel, in Coconut Grove. I had the “EB Original” on a salt bagel. It was very good! Everything was great, except the jalapeño (in my opinion). The cream cheese was nice and creamy; the bagel was toasted perfectly with a touch of crunchiness while being fluffy. The bacon was crispy and flavorful. The touch of jalapeño was good. However, instead of roasted jalapeño I would prefer fresh sliced jalapeños. I think this is a great place to get a nice bagel for breakfast!

This place is a little over hyped. The bagels are just ok. The filling inside the bagels are phenomenal. If you’re coming here because you think it’s comparable to an NYC bagel you will be disappointed. In typical Miami fashion this place is overprice for what they sell but it is in the grove so they likely have high rent. The coffee was really good and they have a good variety of options for milks and flavors. Overall it’s a good spot for a quick and easy meal but it’s not the best bagel I’ve ever had.

El Bagel has everything tailored to perfection from the customer service to the menu. I had to wait about three minutes to place my order and, the kind gentleman aided me in making my selections. My favorites so far are the iced Matcha latte and the EBC on a plan bagel. Everything is incredibly fresh. The bagels are soft and semi crunch when toasted. The matcha is perfectly caffeinated and semi sweet when you add vanilla. I will be coming again!!
