My experience at the restaurant was good. It’s a newly opened, large, stylishly designed and very clean Venezuelan spot with a nice selection of traditional Venezuelan dishes on the menu. The main focus of this restaurant is arepas; and they have a good variety of them to choose from. I personally picked a beef arepa, and along with that I decided to try their yuca fries. Honestly, the food was just good. It was tasty, but not extremely delicious. Specifically, the yuca fries seemed a little dry, and I didn’t love the beef in my arepa — it was a bit chewy. I’ve definitely had better arepas and better yuca fries at other places around Miami. Also, the menu prices are on the higher side. If you plan to order one main dish and a drink, be ready for a bill of at least $20. My total bill for three items (two food items and a drink) was almost $30, which is kind of crazy if you think about it; especially for something that feels more like street food or fast food. On the bright side, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, some of them don’t speak English; I had this issue with the waiter who brought my food. To sum up: I’ve definitely been to other Venezuelan restaurants in Miami that had more delicious food at better prices. But I still think Doggi’s Arepa Bar is a good option if you’re looking to eat Venezuelan food around Midtown Miami. Plus, it’s generally a cute place to hang out...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Doggis Arepa Bar’s new location in Wynwood, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the vibrant atmosphere that perfectly complements the lively Wynwood district. The decor is both inviting and trendy, making it a perfect spot for friends and family to enjoy a meal together.
Now, let's talk about the food—absolutely excellent! Their arepas are a must-try; they're deliciously fluffy and packed with flavor. I particularly enjoyed Arepa La 10 and Arepa de Pabellon], which was cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delightful experience!
What truly sets Doggis apart is not just the food, but the ambiance. The friendly staff adds to the warm and welcoming vibe, making you feel right at home. Whether you’re there for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, the atmosphere enhances the overall dining experience.
In summary, if you're looking for delicious food in a fantastic setting, I highly recommend checking out Doggis Arepa Bar in Wynwood. You won’t be...
Read moreThis is an overpriced and overrated Venezuelan place. Food is very pricey for what they offer and they try to charge you for everything! They give you a very small, almost empty, container with sauce and if you ask for more they charge you $2 extra
They also take forever to give you your food. They give your order to people before you even if they ordered something more complex than you. The service is really bad too. They’re rude and treat you badly.
They barely put any cheese in their arepas.
Their tequenos are good though, that’s their only decent dish.
There are way better Venezuelan places in Miami,...
