Checkers — Restaurant in Miami

Long review!!!!!! Stopped in while visiting Miami. Ordered the Checkers/Ralley burger WITH cheese 3.49 deal. Employee (Luis) taking our order at the dt had a difficult time understanding as I had a difficult time understanding him. After trying and failing to explain to him we wanted cheese on burgers...He then sent a woman (green shirt) with a horrible and non-blended weave to the window...I explained to her that I ordered the burgers with cheese, she began to yell that I was not charged for cheese. After going back and forth, telling her I'd pay the difference (normally if my order was incorrect I would have given back the food and requested a refund) I thought she was going to charge me the difference and add cheese. NOPE! She came to the window and slapped a piece of foil containing 2 cold slices of cheese into my husband's hand. Gave us a dry "you're welcome" and slammed the window. I was able to get Luis' attention and requested to speak back with who I am assuming was the supervisor. When she finally came to the window I stated that the service was terrible with the way she and Luis handled us. I mentioned her slapping "cold cheese" into my husband's hand and she began yelling that she did not give me "old cheese." I corrected her (language barrier). And again explained my disappointment in level of service. She told me that Checkers/Ralleys does not melt cheese on their burgers and had they made my order correctly I still would have received a cold slice of cheese on the burger. I asked again for clarification, she doubled down that the cheese would have still been cold..."bc Checkers does not sell melted cheese!" I stated that if the patty was warm then the cheese would likely melt.. She continued to yell, I then asked for her name, she yelled "it's on the receipt" and slammed the window. They arbitrarily decide that they don't feel like serving people who go to the walk up window, regardless of whether or not they came with a car. After waiting 5 full minutes just to find out if they were going to serve me or not after all, i knocked on the window to find out whether or not they had decided that they would offer me service. the lady started lecturing me for knocking and telling me to relax even though I just had a simple question. Needless to say I decided to leave based off of that because I didn't go to checkers to be treated rudely by their employees, especially when I was being treated like I was being unreasonable for going up to their order window and expecting them to actually take an order and give me food at CHECKERS. I'm sure she was very glad that I did decide to leave as she made it very obvious that my desire to bring checkers my business was an inconvenience. Avoid at all costs. There's a mcdonalds about a mile south that didn't give me a hard time for wanting to order food.

UPDATE: I CAME HERE AGAIN TODAY against my better judgement. The strawberry ice cream still is not available. The employee here told me to try again next month 🤣. This...
