In the vibrant heart of our neighborhood, nestled where history meets modern charm, stands the Opera House restaurant—a place that has not only witnessed the ebb and flow of Miami’s dynamic dining scene but has also become a testament to resilience and excellence. Having lived in the area for 14 years, I’ve seen this establishment weather its share of storms, including facing critical reviews. Yet, it’s not the challenges that define Opera House but its remarkable transformation and the unparalleled service it offers today.
The service at Opera House is nothing short of exceptional. It’s rare to find a place where staff not only remembers your name but also greets you with the warmth and familiarity of an old friend. Every visit feels like stepping into “Cheers,” where everybody knows your name, and you’re always welcome. This personalized touch adds a layer of comfort and belonging that is increasingly scarce in the fast-paced world of dining.
Opera House has indeed been through rough times, as have many beloved institutions. What sets it apart, however, is its unwavering commitment to improvement and the extraordinary lengths it has gone to revitalize both its menu and its customer experience. Today, the restaurant downstairs stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, showcasing the best of what Miami has to offer.
The ambiance of Opera House is as captivating as its service is commendable. Whether you’re nestled inside its elegantly appointed dining room or enjoying the balmy Miami weather in its outdoor seating area, the restaurant offers a setting that is both inviting and sophisticated. It’s an ideal backdrop for the myriad of flavors that await you, each dish crafted with care, passion, and an eye for detail that elevates every bite into a memorable experience.
To the team at Opera House, your dedication has not gone unnoticed. You’ve transformed adversity into opportunity, elevating your service to levels that truly deserve recognition. Your kindness, attention to detail, and the personal connections you forge with each guest have set a new standard for what dining should feel like.
To my fellow Miamians and visitors to our beautiful city, if you’re seeking a dining experience where exceptional service, exquisite cuisine, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere are the norms, look no further than the Opera House restaurant. Here, you’ll find not just a meal, but a celebration of community, resilience, and the enduring spirit of Miami.
Congratulations to Opera House on your triumphant evolution. Your journey from rough times to becoming a five-star establishment is inspiring. May you continue to thrive, delight, and bring people together for many more...
Read moreThere’s a reason this place has 3.7⭐️, and it’s because they don’t seem to ever have a manager on duty. Case in point: I went here on a Saturday night and left my tab open by leaving my debit card with the bartender. When I went to close out, I got somebody else’s card back; it turns out the bartender gave my card to one of her regulars (how does someone make this mistake unless they’re drunk or high?). There was no manager on duty that night, nor the following night when I called asking if my card had been returned yet. When I finally went back on Monday night, after the card had been returned, there was still no manager, but I was assured that of course the charges incurred from them closing the wrong tab with my card would be refunded within 2-3 days. Fast forward 9 days later, I called them once again because I still hadn’t been refunded. They let me talk to a manager this time, but of course the manager didn’t speak English. Finally, a bartender said she would make the bartender who made the mistake personally Zelle me for the erroneous charges, but that never happened, either.
I’m never expecting much from a sports bar, but it’s terrible business ethics for them to dismiss something like this, and even worse that they don’t appear to have any higher authority above the bartenders to rectify the situation. For all I know, they pull this trick all the time, to give their regulars free drinks on someone...
Read moreThe food was absolutely terrible. Southern fried chicken sandwich, Cuban egg rolls, and cheese pizza were not good. The oil they cook in tastes old. The eggrolls had pizza/italian sausage in them? Yuck. After we got our food, the server didn’t come back for about 30 minutes and was chatting it up with another table (likely friends) so I kept picking at my food hoping to like it. I picked at about 25% of it leaving 75% untouched. When the server came back finally, I told her I did not like the food. When she told the manager, he came and looked at my plate and began shaking his head in disgust because I had eaten some. They did take the cost of my meal off the bill however, the manager never came over to apologize or discuss what was wrong. He was also so mad that I asked for money off that he was slamming things around and literally stomping around through the restaurant. I couldn’t believe a manager was acting that way over the cost of one meal when there were four of us there eating and drinking. Very unimpressed with the food...
