I wish I had more positive than negative things to express about my experience with this company Miami Charter/Tikki Beach and Musette Charter. After countless communication and an actual meet with the owner of the yacht, we were met with utter disappointment at the very moment of our event. My husband and I booked the charter through MC/TB for a special family event set in May. We spoke with the owner of the yacht and representative of MC to take a look at the yacht and communicate what we had in mind for our event (set up, etc). That experience in itself was a mixed bag, but ultimately we left feeling confident we communicated very clearly what set up we had in mind and it was understood and agreed to due to our conversations of the details throughout that meet and subsequently directly with MC/TB. Reaching the rep we were working with (listed CEO of MC/TB per email signature) was quite a feat- unreturned messages and trying through emails, texts, and calls to get through once contract and initial funds were complete. Although we would get through eventually, it was enough to be alarming and dwindled my confidence that our event was in the right hands. But the worst of all was when we actually arrived at the yacht. We tried asking many times hoping to get a timely response, if just me and my husband could board the yacht 15-30 minutes earlier than they allowed time so we could set up keepsakes, expressing how we wanted the yacht to be personalized before our guests arrive. They were aware we would be doing this, but told us that it was only possible to board at a prompt 45 minutes max before other guests could, of course we understood. We did get there 10 minutes earlier with our items in hand to wait for the yacht to dock and our allotted window to set up as soon as we could. We were greeted with a crew and onboard manager we had not ever met and had been given their contact info about an hour or so before our event after requesting their info multiple times. But it was so worse than the fact that there was no setup like we discussed. It was unswept, unkept, and looked like it had just finished a charter and came straight to us (something I can understand MC/TB may have had little control over). We had booked for a number of people through MC/TB and the charter didn't even have the same number of chairs for people to sit in, or table space! Mind you, this was a dinner cruise... In the very short time we had, my husband and I got to work in the heat of the inside deck with our formal attire on setting up from the bottom to the top deck, as the setup we discussed had not been communicated and confirmed with the crew. The boat captains, onboard manager, and cook looked confused and initially unbothered. They had no idea what was going on and in seeing my husband and my distress they were so kind to get into action and helped us set up. But still there was not enough chairs and was told there were no more chairs, until I was approached by a crew member that told me he could get me more chairs if I was ok they wouldn't have cushions. I wish I had taken photos to share about this ordeal lived in such a time crunch, but we were so busy trying to get the yacht ready for our event. Sadly what was supposed to be a beautiful time, was us scrambling to have everything set up as we had discussed with both MC/TB and Musette Charter and finding ways to place our personalized items. Luckily, the crew was the saving grace of our experience with these companies. I want to remember our event with the utmost joy. It was truly special to have our family together enjoying the intercoastal, but I feel it is necessary to communicate the level of unprofessionalism and overall lack of regard Miami Charters/Tikki Beach and Musette Charter met us with. I wouldn't know if this was a one off, or if this is how they operate with smaller groups. Regardless I hope this is a wakeup call and others do not...
Read moreBy far the worst catamaran experience we have ever had. 1) we crashed into a dock, and not a single apology or check in from the crew to see if anyone was ok, 2) they didn’t know how to make drinks.. literally the bartender didn’t know the difference between gin and rum, 3) the crew were rude to the guests, 4) the spot they took us to was a small island full of garbage, 5) captain was drunk and fell asleep on the boat. I could go on and on… truly shocking of...
