Leaving reviews isn’t usually my thing, but this experience made me realize why they matter.

We were in Miami for the weekend and wanted to eat somewhere outside of the busy Ocean Drive area. This place popped up on Google and looked promising.

The restaurant itself is very modern inside, and the staff is friendly, at least until you don’t hit the ā€œextra tipā€ button. They’ll still serve you respectfully, but the tone changes. With a 15% service charge already included, despite me seating myself, ordering at the counter, grabbing my own utensils, and going back up to get another drink, I think that charge more than covers their service. Expecting an additional tip for simply handing me my food feels unreasonable.

Drinks are $3.50 a can, and water is also $3.50 (I didn’t see bottled water, so I assume it was served in a cup).

Now, the food: • The queso was good. • The guac and chips were average, nothing special but not bad either. • The empanadas (one carne, one mariscos) were both decent. • The birria tacos were ok, not the best we’ve ever had but still edible. • And then came the campechano tacos (steak and chorizo)… easily the worst tacos I’ve ever had. They were mushy, unappetizing, and honestly tasted like how a wet dog smells. Completely inedible.

For the prices they’re charging, there’s no excuse for food of that quality. Honestly, I’m not sure how this place is staying...

Unfortunately the experience myself and 12 other people that came with me just to come and try this place out was absolutely horrid. We came in around 1pm on labor day and they had ran out of anything Birria (the sole reason I wanted to try this place honestly). That was a huge letdown, but I opted for other items I wanted to try. When I say nothing tasted even remotely edible, that says a lot. The guac & chips were bland and greasy, the elote, not much flavor, chicken, al pastor tacos again lacking flavor, arepa platter, burger, etc . I tried the picanha cachapa and after one bite it was just full of disappointment. My family and friends all tried various items from the menu and not a single person enjoyed their food. It also took an extremely long time to even receive our items, and honestly I'm patient with that kind of stuff. At the end my little sister ordered a mango juice which took 20 minutes to get out because the person making it forgot, she threw it out shortly after drinking, because EVERYTHING LACKED ANY FORM OF FLAVOR. I don't know if they were having an off day as they have many great reviews, but this was a really bad food experience I have had in such a long time. The price did not match what they offer. Luckily I got a full refund for my food items and left them their tip. The woman taking our order was truly very nice...

Disappointment from start to finish!

I was excited to try this place considering all the very good reviews. I spent some time deciding what to try (it was all new to me), and I ended up choosing this dish where I could choose 3 proteins and 3 sides (I thought it was a good way to taste and try different things).

After having waited a long time to reach the counter for ordering, the lady told me that there was a mistake on the menu and I had to choose just 2 proteins and only 1 side. On the spot I didn't know what else I could choose, and it was getting late considering all the wait, and I ended up accepting to have that dish anyway.

Once I received the plate the disappointment was high! For a $50 dish, you expect to receive a very rich plate, but it wasn't at all! I really regret not having taken a picture! I'm sure you would agree with me. I wouldn't value it more than $25!

And also, one of the proteins was the wrong one. The waitress insisted and it was that I ordered, but I ordered shredded pork, no pork belly. At the end she offered to bring a small portion of the shredded pork, that's what I ordered.

I rarely spend $50 for a dish and this has been the worst occasion! And if I knew in advance the real options for that plate I would never,...

Join me on a tasty journey through Miami's less-explored streets, where an unexpected taco treasure is waiting to redefine your taco experience. I went looking for great tacos and found a hidden gem for an early dinner that exceeded my expectations. Forget the famous taco spots in Chicago, New York, and Mexico – this place turns traditional tacos into gourmet delights. The Birria Tacos, in particular, are a revelation, a tantalizing mix of flavors and textures that truly impressed me. Inside, the place was clean and had a lively atmosphere, making my dining experience even better. It's true that the prices are a bit high, and they add a service fee, but I assure you it's worth every dollar. The service was decent, not exceptional, but the real star of the show was the tacos. Each bite took my taste buds on a flavorful adventure that goes beyond the usual taco experience. So, if you're ready to spend a little more for a memorable taco adventure, this place is a must-visit.

Wanted to give this place a shot given the rave reviews, but what a letdown. First off, communication was a challenge since the staff barely spoke English. While initially, I hoped this meant a more genuine Tex-Mex experience, the food soon shattered that illusion. The flavors? Nonexistent. It was like eating a medley of bland, with meat that felt like rubber and guacamole that tasted off. Now, the ambiance… Imagine trying to enjoy a meal with club-level noise blaring around you. Rushed, stressed, and anything but comfortable would sum it up. Lastly, their service setup is baffling. You order at the counter, get served on paper with plastic forks, and THEN they have the audacity to slap on a 15% charge AND expect a tip? The amount of plastic waste is concerning too. Honestly, I regret not choosing a different place to eat.

I’m in Miami staying with my aunt in the hospital (she just had a major surgery)…I left to take a break for a minute and drove over to check out Wynnwood and randomly parked in front of Sr de los Tacos. I thought tacos sounded good so I popped in to see what it was all about! I walked up to the bar and was greeted by Michelle. I asked which tacos were better, the birria or the camarones…he said hands down go for the birria. So I did! And boy was I SO glad I took Michelle’s suggestion! These were some of the BEST birria tacos I’ve ever had! 🤤 He delivered my food, chatted with me for a minute, and even brought me a dessert to try (which was incredible too!) Service, food, atmosphere…all of it was amazing! Will def be back next time I’m in Miami!
