Went in to this location today and bought a drink and a sandwich, the drink was perfectly fine but unfortunately I received bad service when I requested a modification be fixed for my sandwich. Disclaimer: I literally work at a Starbucks, and there was no excuse for the rudeness when I was being very nice. At the register I requested my sandwich be made with no egg, but when i received it I saw there was egg but no cheese. Simple mix up, no problem. I asked the same girl very nicely if she could please correct it and she argued with me saying that I had actually ordered it without cheese and that I should look in the bag because she made it like how i had asked. I politely explained that I did check the bag and that it was wrong, and also pointed out that the sticker said no egg but the sandwich had egg. Again, no biggie, but I guess she was upset that I was insisting that it was not what I asked?? I didn't understand the attitude. She eventually took it back and remade it and handed it back to me but didn't even speak or look at me and had a sour expression the whole time. I get it, working in customer service sucks, but I would not treat a customer like this. To top it all off when I checked the new sandwich it had no egg but also no cheese. I am not one to be confrontational and I didn't wanna start problems so I just took it and left. Not once was I rude to them but I guess that doesn't matter, this employee thought it would be ok to be rude to me...
Read moreVisited again today after 3 weeks. There is new staff--but they also lack customer service. I only visit this store because it is the nearest one to the Downtown Government Center after the one on Flagler Street closed. This store had a full menu and a friendly staff. The Miami Central store has a limited menu. Oatmeal is no longer offered here because according to staff, Starbucks no longer offers oatmeal--that is not true--other stores do. Not having the oatmeal available, again today, I ordered the new pumpkin scone. It was handed to me frozen, not cold, FROZEN. I was told it cannot be warmed because of the top frosting-???. You would think the staff that arrives early in the morning would have the food that "can't be warmed" at least thawed. I visited the store at about 9:20am. The floor area around the food warming area was full of food crumbs visible to the public. Read moreTerrible Management. Assistant Manager Mercedes Cooper refused to make my coffee the way I ordered it. After asking her twice nicely to please use less milk as my coffee was watered down, I requested another employee make my coffee since they have been able to manage with the simple order in the past. She accused me of wasting 2 coffee cups and that it “cost her money and she did not have the time” and barked that she would not let anyone else make my drink (a simple solution to the issue which I asked for twice). Clearly Mercedes is very frustrated with her position as Assistant Manager and perhaps with her life in general. However, as a Manager she cannot take her attitude out on patrons and simply refuse service due to her lack of skills. I was disgusted by the manner she spoke to me, raised her voice, and refused to resolve the issue. I never got a refund either- which I’m pretty sure is illegal. Please replace this...
