Best gelato I’ve ever had! Not only was it delicious, but it was also healthy, made with all-natural ingredients (they use real vanilla beans, chocolate, fruit—everything is authentic! No fake powders, additives, colors, etc.). My husband, who is sadly allergic to eggs and dairy, had his first legit gelato/ice cream experience in many years. It was super creamy (even though it's dairy-free), and the natural flavors really pop in your mouth.
We tried: Passion fruit, mango, pistachio, dark chocolate, black sesame & charcoal, and vanilla. My absolute favorite was passion fruit—I came back a few days later just for it, it was that good! My husband’s favorite was vanilla; after already having a cup of gelato, he ordered affogato with a scoop of vanilla, which he described as heavenly 🪽.
The café is spacious, and the owners are genuinely good people. Their signature purple lemonade was also a nice addition to the menu. Come try their artisan gelato and support this...
Read moreTheir nut flavors (pistachio, almond, etc.) are really special. Being dairy free has seemingly enhanced their flavor profile by allowing the nuttiness to shine more. And the texture is still fantastic. Some of the best I’ve had.
The other couple flavors I tried (beyond nuts) didn’t reach those heights. For example, their vanilla is inferior to, say, Salt and Straw’s (half a block away) in terms of flavor, texture, etc. (assuming Salt and Straw prepares and stores properly, which seems far from given in FL). I did a side-by-side taste test just to sanity check, and it isn’t really close imo. (I know, I know: I’m comparing gelato and ice cream.)
The service was phenomenal. Jo and Noelia were very friendly and very helpful; you can tell they take pride in the quality of the product and in helping people enjoy it. Carlos was also very friendly when ordering coffee.
Will return...
Read moreThis place is legit!!! Anyone that knows about real gelato knows that big towering bright-colored mounds is a MAJOR red flag. Well you don’t have to worry about that here! This is the first time I’ve had gelato in the states that was identical to what they have in Italy. Makes sense because we talked to Chef Erick and he actually learned the art of gelato making in Italy! He was also super friendly and personable and allowed me and my whole family to try as many samples as we wanted, which we tried a lot because they were all so good making it hard to choose which flavors to get! Went with the Cookie Monster flavor and Chocolate fudge and had serious thoughts about going back for more when I finished. Please go here if you want amazing authentic gelato made by good down to earth people, which we all know both of those are...
