We recently stopped into the McAlister's for lunch. We'd never been to this location and it was near our destination and we thought "Hey, we haven't been to this location, let's give it a shot". Having been to a number of McAlister's we figured we'd be in for a good lunch.
It was a Saturday afternoon so the restaurant wasn't busy. A couple of tables were occupied, but they weren't tremendously busy. We went to the counter to order our food and I saw something that piqued my interest. While I normally get a sandwich the sign on the menu board for the Southwest Steak Spud caught my eye. I hadn't had a McAlister's baked potato in a few years, so I was immediately All In with the promise of steak and jalapeƱos.
Except for the fact that, when I ordered it, I was told they no longer have it.
blink
But it's on the menu board.
"Yes, but we haven't taken the time to take that down".
OOOOkay.
It's still on our menu board, but we're not selling it. I kind of take issue with that.
In it's place, and since my mind was on having a baked potato, I opted for the Chicken Bacon Ranch spud.
Jim was not impressed.
My normal order involves the JalapeƱo Turkey Crunch, either by itself or with a salad. I should have stuck with that.
The restaurant itself was kept pretty clean and staff were relatively busy during our visit. Their Christmas tree was cleverly decorated with soup cups/lids hung as ornaments. It was cute and very fitting.
There's a door that needs to be adjusted in the worst way. When anyone opens this door there's a very loud, annoying SCRAPE sound that accompanies it. If I was a hibernating bear it would have woken me up, it was so loud.
There are other McAlister's locations around, so I find myself not compelled to visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter horrible service for weeks, yesterday was my last straw and I wonāt be returning to this location for food. I ordered the french dip sandwich and they brought me half a sandwich. When i asked a manager he told me that this was a full sandwich. If you looked around the other customers who ordered this sandwich had a much larger sandwich. When bringing my sandwich back, i had two tiny pieces of meat. I got more meat on my half sandwich than my full sandwich. I order this sandwich regularly and i always get a-lot of meat. When asking the same manager again, he got rude with me and claimed āwe weigh the meat out and thats what you getā. Oh so i get more bread than meat? While the other four people in this restaurant gets a full sandwich with a-lot of meat. Iāve been to every other location in Louisville and have never received a sandwich that pitiful! I guess he was upset I complained about my so called first full sandwich and didnāt want to correctly make me my second sandwich. Iāve been going to this location for over 9 years now and they just lost one of their very loyal customers! Donāt waste your time with this location. Its poor customer service, rude staff members, and over all poor quality of food. That manager need to take his management course over on how to talk to his customers correctly. You always satisfy the customer to get the customer...

Then a daughter and family with her husband and four children drove from nolensville Nashville Tennessee area we were all traumatized and exhausted. We had just spent from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home making arrangements my sweet boss sacrificed $185 to feed us and I come home and I noticed several sandwiches in the garbage and the last tray I'm seeing this black toast I could send a picture to the edges were as black as the black tray seriously you would send out something when a loving and benevolent boss sacrifices $185 and your negligent to send burnt toast in my guest discreetly throat some sandwiches away there shouldn't be one burned piece of toast and there was way more than one piece of toast that's what I think is the reason you have to strive for excellence on every order you never know what a family is going through and when someone sacrifices to send their sympathy you need to do a professional job McAlister's...
