This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I enjoyed it a lot! It’s family run and very obviously so. Everyone pitches in to get the orders out. I placed my order online and paid in the restaurant. It was quick to pay and they got my order out to me within a very reasonable timeframe. They were super busy too! It was clean inside and the drink fountain had MelloYello and Cherry Coke, which is rad and good to note if you’re eating in as many places don’t often service those options. I got home to eat and my food was steaming hot still. The potstickers were so delicious and the sauce served with them was a little spicy and very flavorful. The Alaska roll was priced so fairly and it was very yummy. The sushi rice was good. The Singapore curry noodles were spicy as noted on the menu, but not so much so that I couldn’t stand it, which was important for me as I’m not huge on spicy food haha. It was awesome and the different proteins were cooked properly! It had a great ratio of meat to noodles. The beef and broccoli was also very good and the amount of white rice provided was perfect for the portion. The pricing here is great and I felt like I really got my money’s worth! I will...
Read moreSo I've eaten at almost every cheap Chinese restaurant in Louisville (but not really), and there is always a problem. Whether it be unfriendly staff(which I can easily get over: carryout) but what I can't stand is bad food. I used to Live in Fern Creek and one place over there had the worst fried rice, you could just smell(and taste) that they never change the cooking oil. One place had unedible Wonton Soup. Well this place had great fried rice, great food; we got Moo Goo and Beef with mixed vegetables which I preferred the latter. And the Wonton soup had enough chicken broth or whatever that it was good. The egg roll seamed smaller than usual, but it was one of the best I've had, and I always get an egg roll at every single Chinese restaurant I go to as a way of judging food quality. The sit down section looked pretty nice and very clean. Not only was the food very good, but the staff was great, we laughed on the phone and in person, and I'll definitely come...
Read moreOur family had moved recently and have tried about six Chinese food places in the Middletown area and they all seemed to be off on one of many things my kids love in some way or another.
Oriental Palace was not only extremely friendly, they have a clean looking kitchen and restaurant which says a lot in our search. They’re family oriented and helpful and here’s the best part. They passed all my picky eaters including myself who was in desperate need of a good Wonton soup. FYI they are located right next to Kroger’s and a Pie Kitchen so I’m able to pickup desert while waiting super convenient!
Just found out they...
