I don't like being charged for food that's inedible. A group of us (6 to be exact) went here today, 7/19/24, and I ordered the Philly cheese steak with fries. The sandwich had enough salt/seasoning on it for 3 or 4 sandwiches. I took a couple of bites and couldn't eat any more of it. It was just too much. You couldn't taste anything but the salt/seasoning. I ate a few of the fries, and I just called it quits. Our server showed up at the end of our meal and asked how everything was. I told her that the Philly cheese steak was just inedible due to all of the seasoning. She conveyed that other customers had complained about that as well, and said she'd let the GM know. A few minutes later the GM came over and asked how everything was and we told her the same thing. She just said "sorry about that". Well, I'm glad she apologized, but I am paying to have lunch, not to get apologies. Needless to say, they didn't take it off of our bill or even discount it. So, I spent $15 and walked away hungry. I'm not very happy about it, and won't be returning to this place anytime soon. This is twice now in recent times that I've gone here and been served food that's inedible and was left on the plate, and both times I've been charged for it. I won't let there be a 3rd time.
I've already emailed their guest relations as they told other customers to do, but since the other customers all say they never heard back from anyone, I think that's just a line they use on everyone that they get bad reviews from to make it sound like they care, when they really don't. So, I don't much expect to hear back from them, and they don't need to ever worry about hearing back from me in their establishment. If by chance I DO hear back from them, I'll update this review. Otherwise, regardless of what they may respond to this review with, if it isn't updated, then I didn't hear...
Read moreWe arrived at 7:15 pm on a Wednesday evening. We were a larger party (12 adults and 1 toddler) so the wait for a table was understandably longer, absolutely no complaint there.
We were seated, drink orders and appetizer were taken. Took a slightly longer time to arrive, but still no complaint.
The sweet waitress who was new according to the manager took our food order at about 7:45. We conversated amongst our table for an hour and half. No food arrived besides the 3 appetizers as previously mentioned. We spoke to the manager who was only concerned with letting us know our waitress was new and was doing the best she could to get our food out and she was there to help her deliver our food to the table.
Once the food finally did arrive (about 8:45 ) almost all 12 meals were cold (luke warm would be an overstatement ) Although it had good flavor, most of our table opted to take it to go to reheat at home. The manager DID discount our ticket (it was about $280 with the 10% discount).
Previous experiences at this location have been excellent! I would have understood had it been busy and packed with people, but it was not. The lack of communication in regards to the long wait time compounded with the temperature of the food made this a horrible birthday dinner out. This was the WORST experience I have ever had while dining out anywhere ever.
I hate to leave negative feedback but the fact that no explanation was given needs to be addressed. A simple "we do apologize but we are short staffed" or anything of the sort would have been nice. But all was pushed onto a "new waitress" who was literally doing all she could.
Please do better so others don't experience a disappointing family birthday or...
Read moreCheddar's is supposed to make everything from scratch....but the food is always cold. We've eaten here 3 times in the last 2 months
First time cheese fries, fries were old and cheese underneath was cold and not melted. Sent it back and the reorder and rest of the meal was great.
Second time, chicken strips were warm, but mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole were cold.
Third time, got queso and it came out with a skim on top and the chips were over cooked (odd). After we ordered dinner the server said they were out if fries and baked potatoes....but mashed were instant so we could get those. The chicken and mashed potatoes were not warm. If you're making it from scratch....what's the issue?
Servers are always nice and helpful. Last time we went we asked the hostess to not seat us near kids and she sat us by an infant. We moved ourselves back a table and mentioned it to the server. She must have mentioned it to the hostess as the hostess asked why we moved. When I said we requested not to sit by kids, she threw me attitude and said it's just an infant. My response was, yep that's a kid - she said what's an infant going to do, I said maybe scream. Then she gave us a look and left.
Also the stink of a baby diaper and formula wasn't great. On top of that there was a faint odor of pot....when the family left and walked by us, the pot slapped us in the face. Had the hostess honored our request, all of that could have been avoided.
Needless to say it will be a very long time before we return (if ever). Getting hot food should be easy as everytime we were there they weren't busy.
Another side note, my husband went to the restroom and said it was...
